Re: Lets start playing the club championships again
The KK football championship is on quite late this year compared to normal. Most clubs in KK also have a football team. They have a senior, intermediate and junior championship. Last year St Martins won it beating the reigning champions The Village in the final. The KK footballers won the first rou...

Re: Dublin Fans
Sounds like serious thuggery.
I cant really follow the reasons why this would happen, especially at the soccer match.
Surely we're all Irish fans?....
Can I just get this straight - were you decked out in your Offaly colours out in the Aviva?
Was it a Dub that took a dig at you?

Well 'the bare biffo', I hope you found a nice spot for a pint and enjoyed the Champions League final. It was a great game!

Fargo, what do you mean by exile?
You're right, its not on TV.
Craggy Island I'm sure must have some sort of dial-up internet access though?

Re: Thanks Drumcullen
What I like about this site (as opposed to a site such as Hoganbland) is that you can say anything and get away with it. There doesn't seem to be any moderator. Slander like that wouldn't be tolerated on that particular site. I've never seen Drumcullen hurl so I cant really pass comment on them, but...

Re: Offaly Hurling team for championship v Dublin
HSM, I do think there’s too much of a focus on the “we’ve won nothing at underage in yonks” stuff (this goes for football too, and you are, of course, welcome to comment on both on this forum!). Any underage team will be divided roughly into three. There’ll be the stars, who will go on to hurl Seni...

Re: Offaly Hurling team for championship v Dublin
I'm not from the hurling part of the county and I wouldn't claim to have the same knowledge of our players as most of ye posting on here. The general consensus from what I'm reading is that Joe Dooley was a bad appointment, a poor manager and has lost the respect of several players. Fair enough. But...

Re: Best Pub in Tullamore
Some great pubs. Hugh Lynchs is a good spot these days, little bit off the beaten track possibly. If you're walking down the town straight after the match there's no need to even stray off the street. The likes of Eugene's (at the bridge), Digans (another 150 yards on your left), the Wolftrap (anoth...

Re: Man in Offaly jersey
Is he the guy in one of Snoop Dogg's videos too?
I'm sure he has a video where there are loads of people dancing by a pool and there's a glimpse of an Offaly jersey.
Sure who else could it be? Its either him or Barack Obama.....

Re: Hurling Striking Styles
You see.........striking a hurl is a lot like making love to a beautiful woman. First you make sure that your helmet is in place. Run your hands up and down length of the hurl to ensure its hardness, with an element of elasticity too. Then take a good grip, close your eyes, toss her up in the air an...

Re: Time change for Wexford Match
They seem to be mixing up our footballers & hurlers.
Overall though, a wise decision
