I'm guessing that no one seems to know. I certainly have no idea but would be very interested to get an insight to the provisional squad and how they are progressing.
Hopefully we'll do ourselves justice in the Walsh Cup and get a few half competitive games to see where we are at.

Re: K/K appointment
Pretty sure Danny Owens had a stint with Offaly at underage....I think he managed Offaly Minors with some help with Noel Russell from Birr without much success back in 2004. I could be wrong on the year but was definitely involved.

Initial Offaly Hurling Squad
With the start of the Walsh Cup only a little over 3 weeks away most county squads are back training no doubt. Has there been any word on a Provisional squad chosen by Eamon Kelly and his Management team for the pre-season competition and the league? I'd be interested to know any lads he might blood...

Re: Club Championships 2016
To be honest I have to say I'm very disappointed with this outcome as it does nothing to advance the set up of the county and also does nothing to ease the fixture congestion for many of our underage hurlers hurling at various levels with different squads teams schools/colleges, U21/Minor Club and U...

Re: 2016 Championship
3 home league games for Offaly in the hurling league. Games vs Laois and Limerick in OCP, game vs Kerry in SBP. Maybe it's just me but I nearly find that a bigger insult than having no games in SBP. There's no way the attendance of the Laois or Limerick games will come anywhere near 5,000. Just pla...

Re: 2016 Championship
JimBob has hit the nail on the head in every regard there. Even though I have voiced my opinions on the SBP Vs OCP debate, it is a small matter in the grand scheme of things within the state of Offaly hurling. And the fact that this is what we are debating really puts into perspective where we are. ...

Re: 2016 Championship
I think this thread is getting a little off topic and most of the latter posts probably belong in another thread. But I'll still give my opinion on what has been posted. Are we just gonna slag each other...? No point having a huge stadium with no hurlers to put in it. We were competitive when hurlin...

Re: 2016 Championship
Just seen the Walsh Cup fixtures were released. Offaly have been drawn in a group with DIT and Kilkenny, both home fixtures. I'm a little annoyed we drew the short straw and only have 3 teams in the group compared to the others who all have 4. GMIT are missing this year I noticed which is a shame as...

Re: Leinster Club Championship
No excuses, Coolderry were given a real lesson today. It was a tough game to watch from my own point of view.......as it highlighted the limitations I had suspected we had. We seemed to get a foot hold in the game during the 1st 10-15 mins where we competed well. But after that Cuala really came to ...

Re: Leinster Club Championship
Also.....Does anyone know because Coolderry have home advantage, do they or did they get to choose where the game is played? Or is this governed by the county board when the draw was originally made? Could this game have been played in Birr instead of Tullamore? Just a question, not trying to stir t...

Leinster Club Championship
Any views on how Coolderry will fare this weekend against Cuala? I keep second guessing myself. I think Coolderry can definitely play better than they did in the County Final against St Rynaghs, but after looking at Cuala beating St. Judes very comfortably it's hard to call. The Bookies have them bo...

Re: Offaly Hurling Championships 2015
The facts speak for themselves: Kilcormac/Killoughey as County Champions provided minimal leadership & support as members of the Offaly Senior Hurling Team in 2015. Hope Coolderry will give a much greater contribution in 2016, but I have serious doubts. Haven't posted here really since register...

Re: New Hurling Manager
New poster here lads....But long time reader. Wanted to revive this thread as was wondering has there been any word on the situation with the hunt for a new Offaly senior manager at present? The last I heard was Liam Sheedy from Tipp was heading up a 3 man panel with Rory Hanniffy and Joe Brady to s...
