a woeful show in athleague

of all the league matches so far, that effort in athleague was the biggest waste of time ive ever seen. them two teams just shouldn't be in the same league, because thats not going to do anyone any good. id love to say that the likes of rory and cathal played well, but sure how can you tell against ...

schools

thats a woeful shame altogether. that muppet scales in charge of them has a lot to answer for. theres feck all between kilcormac and rynaghs at schools level, and to pick 9 from one and only four from the other is a disgrace. id say the tullamore lads feel hard done by too. i dont like picking on ki...

bad game

some woeful hurling done in birr. its hard to blame lads for not caring too much about these games, but kk will wipe the floor with these fellas unless they find another gear. the scoreline flattered kildare, since they added on a heap of points at the end, but that game flattered no one.

joe has been doing well all right, but i think we have to do more than just prepare for kilkenny.

sure don't you know anyway we're going to end up with oakley at centre back. hasnt he played everywhere else by now.

hurling team full back

who do ye think should be full back for the hurlers this year? i see whelehan mentioned in an old post here, and oakley did fine last year. our boy healion hurled some great stuff last year, but im not sure if hes good enough for this level. we re rightly bolloxed because we go from marking lads lik...

hurling

as a one time hurler i think things were fine the way they were. the way it is now, lads just trying to play the ball get carded, just the same as some yella hoor who pulls across a lad, and its just easier for the ref to give him a yellow than the red he deserves. kelly from tipp on the radio talki...

i wonder if there was another picture taken thirty seconds later with the head split open on the guy on the ground? id say his life is flashing before his eyes there.

2005 Draw

that is a savage group all right. everyone would probably still have a chance though with the three teams qualifying. i could see drumcullen and ballyskenach being the 2 to miss out myself. id say rynaghs should be a good bit better this year with lads like horan and flannery coming into the team.

re

havent heard anything about selectors either. id say pilkington might still be someone the county board wouldn't be a huge fan of after the way he left the county panel, though as far as im aware mcintyre will be allowed take who he wants. seeing as he's been in charge of the under 21s for a while h...

what is it with that lad? for years now half the county panel have played either rugby or soccer over the winter, and no one passed any remarks. this fellas plays with athlone b and gets the headlines in the national news. send the media down to watch michael cordial play soccer for shinrone. at lea...

he was some man all right. give me joachim over him any day though. just as tough, but well able to hurl as well. and he kept his fitness right up to the end, which is more than can be said for a lot of the siochana.

john mcintyre

i see mcintyre is the man they reckon is coming on hogan stand. he was in horrid bad luck in 1997, after they had a good league run and everything. they could do a lot worse than get him back. he'd be a hell of a lot better than that headless clown the footballers have taken on.

offaly hurling

i hear cyril farrell is being talked about for the next manager. a bit better than the looper weve had for the last two years. youd think one of these years wed have a man in whod have watched the club championships though. lads like conor gath, cathal parlon and tony spain were all hurling great st...
