Re: OFFALY UNDER 21 HURLING

To be fair to Birr CS Lone Shark, it's the only school in the county competing in Colleges hurling. That's not a bad reason. We need players playing in this competition to get them at some level up to speed for inter county minor hurling.

Re: NHL Wexford v Offaly 21 february 2014

To get relegated to Division 2A we would have to lose a relegation playoff to most probably Antrim AND a relegation playoff to the winners of 2A which will probably be Carlow. It couldn't happen could it???

Re: NHL Wexford v Offaly 21 february 2014

Jimbob 17, you must never have seen James Rigney hurl centre back for Kinnitty. You specifically said James Rigney "isn't good enough " for centre back. I can assure you he is. Then you went on to say he hasn't the size the for centre back. This may be the case. However to say he "isn...

Re: National Hurling League Pools 2014

I'm just wondering why do people put in their choices before all the teams have been announced??

Maybe I'm being too competitive!!

Re: National Hurling League Pools 2014

Here is the template for the preliminary predictions and also the 1st round Note: The Division 1 champion can come from Division 1B as the top four teams in Division 1A will play the top four teams in Division 1B. This team can, theoretically, be different from the team who gets promoted to Division...

Re: National Hurling League Pools 2014

Just querying if it might be a good idea just to stick to Divisions 1A, 1B and 2A. Do the divisions become a bit of a lottery after the top 3? Usually some teams take astronomical hidings in 2B and 3A.

Re: Save yourself a fiver by pre-booking NHL tickets

I presume every single shop, bar and chippers in Birr sells them?? Such was the demand my sources have told me they were sold out in Birr by noon today. Went quicker than Garth Brooks so we are in for some atmosphere Sunday. They are currently awaiting any surplus tickets from the Tullamore region ...

Re: Save yourself a fiver by pre-booking NHL tickets

Scally's in Tullamore sell the GAA tickets. Very handy facility. Don't think anywhere else in Tullamore do them.

I presume every single shop, bar and chippers in Birr sells them??

Re: OFFALY Hurling 2014

Your point is?

I said I didn't think Brian Carroll should be on the Offaly team. I gave my reasons why.

So I gave my opinion and you try to turn it into a slagging match over Kinnitty / Coolderry.

What would your argument be if say, somebody from Kilcormac said the same?

Re: Mother claims GAA ‘bullying’ her child

So Conor's grandfather is a life President of Birr therefore it would be hardly beyond the realms of possibility that the family is well versed in the laws of the boundary issue with Crinkle. Conor then plays completely illegally with Birr and is reported for it. Mammy is raging that Conor can't do ...

Re: 2014 WALSH Cup

Birr is definitely inferior to Wexford Park and Pearse Park in Longford. The other grounds I would agree that Birr is superior to them.

Re: Mother claims GAA ‘bullying’ her child

1. St Brendan's Park
2. Border issue with Crinkle
3. Hurling
4. Football.

Birr's priorities are pretty mixed up at the moment.
