as long as rynaghs as poor offaly will struggle for hardy hurlers. offalys hard men always used to come from banagher. damien martin, hanamy, hubie, horan, duignan, these were all tough lads. you can have all the flash lads you want from birr, but without these youre at nothing. im thinking we need ...

healion
i think peter healion should still be in with a shout. he played well at the weekend, hes big, he guards the square and you dont get around him easy at all. always seems to get his clearance away as well.
hes a better fullback than oakley anyways.

kilcormac
the lads did well all right, but i wouldnt say we were that good. byrne made a few saves, one from the free early on, and we were well beat at midfield. grogan was very quiet for a lad that should be on the under 21s later in the year.
did enough to win though. saturday will tell a lot.

team vs carlow
at least they have cassidy back in the half back line. that was awful foolish putting him in the corner before. what chance young bergin will be on the senior team before the year is out? i know hes suspended now, but it could be worth giving him a go. hes going to be there next year anyway. the onl...

league final this saturday
its an awful pity they didnt put this on with the louth game, but not to worry. hard to know what to make of this. realistically if carlow arent good enough to win in derry we should be beating them handy, but then the same could have been said in carlow the first day. does anyone else think agreein...
