Re: Leinster club hurling and football 2013

The first round was fixed for a date in April. Birr had a long-term arrangement for their medal presentation night on the night before the first round, had sought a postponement but were refused, and subsequently refused to play the match. For refusing to fulfil the fixture they were thrown out of ...

Re: Leinster club hurling and football 2013

Something like - 1978 dragged on because St Rynagh's and Kinnitty couldn't agree on a date for their Final. One couldn't or wouldn't play before a particular date, the other wouldn't play after a particular date and a stalemate ensued for a number of weeks. A date for the Final was finally agreed, ...

Re: U21 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

Gracefield sought permission this year to play with St.Broughans. From my understanding they only supplied 4/5 to the St.Broughans panel.

Re: Intermediate relegation

As a Clonbullogue man I must say I'm very heartbroken today. What looked to be a promising year turns out to be a disaster - in championship terms. Goes to show how close the intermediate championship is. We were beaten by 1 point by Durrow in the first round, who are now in the semi Final. Inches! ...

Re: Why

From what I heard, the whole panel was in galway for the weekend and that they were told to back for training. The three in question turned up late and were worse for wear and were told they were dropped. Now this is only what I have heard obviously so don't shoot the messenger. In fairness McDonnel...

Re: 2013 Fixtures

Its normally 1/2 or 1/3 of the price. Ferbane look a decent price in fairness. With there recent history underage and Phil O Reilly coming in, you never know what could happen. Just look at Edenderry 2011 - they were 33/1 to win it at start of the year

Re: Intermediate Football Championship

Are there any official odds for the Intermediate Football Quarter Finals. If so can someone post them and where they are available, 4 very close games in prospect, well worth a flutter. I asked PP, Boyles and Laddies and they said they wouldn't price up any matches from Offaly intermediate grade. Y...

Re: Hurling Championship

Bracknaghboy, County board had to sign a disclaimer saying they would only allow Edenderry to hurl in the north of the county, as the insurance costs would be horrific if the Clonbullocks were ever to take up the the ash plant!! I think there would be a lot of broken bones if we ever took to...

Re: Intermediate Football Championship

Intermediate standard this year hasn't been the best but it has been an interesting championship so far with everyone still playin for places up until the last day - unlike the senior. What a magnificent achievement for Cappincur not only to get to ye quarter finals and top the group, but to do it w...
