Re: OFFALY SFC

I hate discussing anything these days because of the b******t goibg on with the CB and their hidden agendas

BUT i do want to note how our Senior A championship seems to be more competitive than previous years. 7/10 games to date have had just one score in the difference

Re: offaly team versus westmeath

John Connellan has left the Westmeath panel according to Pat Nolan in the Mirror.

Hopefully we have Darby and Carroll fit.

Re: Football league 3 2017

I was delighted for everyone involved particularly after the total over reaction over the Armagh result. Once again, well done to all involved and let’s hope for a similar performance against Westmeath in a few weeks. Overreaction? Surely when a team have a record defeat like that, the county are e...

Re: Football league 3 2017

Great to see Jonny Maloney get a few minutes at the end on Sunday. Badly needed addition. He has been one of our most consistent performers in the last few years. Laois match probably a bit too early for him still

Re: Football league 3 2017

Credit where credit is due: The Midlands Radio interview with Pat Flanagan and Eoin Carroll reflects the sanity and hope that exists in the football camp today despite all the challenges. Football will never be won with words, but when the right ones are applied it rarely hurts. Pat talked about th...

Re: Rhode in Leinster

Anyone that Peter Brady is gone from Edenderry job? Sorry for posting here just didn't want to start a thread with it Yes, he has moved on, felt he didn't have the backing of the players.... Again, slightly off topic, but there are not many active football threads these days. Any other movers and s...

Re: Rhode in Leinster

Well done to Rhode, players and management. Rhode have won the league, championship and are in Leinster final now. Brilliant year for them and hopefully they can get revenge on Vincents for 2014. Great achievement from Slaughtneil in Derry. Ulster Champions in Senior hurling, senior football and sen...

Re: B championship

Two things I liked this year from football championships is how competitive the championships now are. It would have been near impossible to guess the winners from 3 out of the 4 grades at the start of year - Ferbane in the Junior and Cappincur in the Senior B especially. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th tier o...

Re: Rhode in Leinster

Congrats to Rhode. Our best and most consistent representatives in Leinster over the last decade. Best of luck to Anton and Jake Kavanagh on their army duty. Fair play to ye both lads. Best of luck to Bracknagh in their upcoming Leinster Final this weekend in OCP. Great achievement and hopefully one...

Re: Rhode in Leinster

Great to give Offaly football a shot in the arm with the county representatives showing well in Leinster. Rhode did a demolition job in Wexford. MEath champs up next who have just won their first ever Meath championship so hopefully their focus has wained a bit. Bracknagh and Cappincur both out this...

Re: County Senior Football Final

What is the story with the Leinster Club Championship for Rhode? How does their side of the draw look?

Something I always liked with the old Offaly website was the Roll of Honour for every grade both hurling and football. This seems to have been axed with the new website. Disappointing.

Re: Advancement from Group Stages Football

The 2016 Senior B final will be contested by Cappincur and Tubber. Same day as the AI replay. Anybody know what time the two matches are at and if they are clashing? I would be a big fan of the current structures. Every grade is very competitive compared to a few years ago. Still a gulf in senior wi...

Re: Advancement from Group Stages Football

Shannonbridge and Bracknagh will contest the Intermediate final after big wins at the weekend. I only got to see Shannonbridge beat Daingean by 11 points. It amazes me how Daingean can not utilise Shane Tierney similar to St Vincent's U21s where he is the main scorer in chief. Shane spent more time ...
