Re: 2018 Bord na Móna O’Byrne Cup

Cillian O'Gara very good for Dublin in first half and was involved in everything. Was taken off at HT presumably due to his yellow card. Very enjoyable second half. Offaly looked a lot fitter towards the end. Three chances towards the end to win it. Was impressed by pender, odonoghue, conor mcnamee,...

Re: 2018 Bord na Móna O’Byrne Cup

Is Mulhall the only change for tonight's game?

This is essentially Dublin 3rds tonight with the first 30 all on the team holiday.

Fixture moved from SBP to Banagher...I take it Birr pitch lives up to its old failings?

Re: 2018 Bord na Móna O’Byrne Cup

The footballers had a challenge match last weekend v Roscommon. Lost 2-18 to 0-19 They had 9 championship starters from 2017 and a further 3 from 2016. Standouts were 13,14 and 11. (Got it from a Rossie, he’s not familiar with any of our players) We can only guess who were playing. Dunne could have...

Re: Leinster club championships 2017

Well done to KK. Sounded like their best performance in a few years. Hopefully more of the same vs Cuala. Hard luck to Erin Rovers. Great wins to get to the final but unfortunately not to be. Dissapointing that between Bracknagh last year and this final this year that Offaly didn't get at least one ...

Re: We Are Offaly

Here here. A great idea LS and the very best of luck with it! I remember a few years back Midlands 103 did live shows from GAA clubs/communities and discussed the history of the club, the glory days etc. I know this is something I would have a huge interest in listening to. Especially if you are run...

Re: Offaly GAA - in Crisis

Any whisperings from the big meeting tonight?

Isn't there an infamous statement due out tomorrow also?

Re: Offaly GAA - in Crisis

Apparently Liam Hogan called on Tommy Byrne & co to resign on radio 3 today. What a brilliant interview. It would make you laugh if it wasn't so serious. Coaches pulled up by the CB for buying fruit (their own money) for their development squad. Heartbreaking to hear that Liam is lost to Offaly...

Re: Offaly GAA - in Crisis

I have removed the question mark at the end of the Subject line of this thread. Safe to say we are now in a crisis in terms of Inter County Hurling and Football in this county. On the plus side of the ledger we have an amazing County ground and the new training facility in Kilcormac is nearly ready...

Re: Offaly GAA - in Crisis?

Can we go any lower? What does it take for people of Offaly to stand up to this and pressurise the CB properly to stand aside? I am sick listening to people here talk about the democratic process. If something is so rotten to the core people need to stand up against it. Next CB meeting in September....

Re: Offaly GAA - in Crisis?

Can a protest be organised for the next CB meeting? If that chairman manages to worm his way out of this and ride out the storm now that the club championship is back and focus is off him and his cronies, it is an absolute farce. Is this North Korea with their grip on county affairs. HE is an absol...

Re: Offaly GAA - in Crisis?

A couple months ago I made the case here for the cb to be ousted,I was ridiculed left right and centre.well i sincerely hope now after yet another dismal year for the county in both codes that people within the county both supporters and players have the balls to stand up and be counted, down tools ...

Re: OFFALY SFC

Make that 9/12 fixtures finishing with 1 score between the sides. It shows the benefit of Senior B championship although I don't agree with the name Senior B

Just to compare, only 3/12 matches have finished with 1 score between the sides in the Senior Hurling championship
