Re: Leinster JHC Club Final
It's a bit more complicated than that. As the standard of hurling varies, counties enter their teams at various levels. However it is always the champions unless they are not eligible and the nest best team represents the County, as in Edenderry's case where the winners already had a senior team as ...

Re: 2010 Offaly Games Structures
1. The Sharks points above highlight the need for a mindset change in the power given to our so called managers. 2. Take Mickey Harte, he trusts his players to train with their clubs until the clocks go back in march then he goes 2 nights a week with the County 3. Tyrone Club payers play championshi...

Re: 2010 Offaly Games Structures
One game a week is not burnout whether it be hurling or football. The burnout comes when clubs get greedy and play a good minor at senior level in both codes, so that players ends up playing 4 competitive games in 2 weeks and is also expected to spread himself to train with all teams. This has now b...

Re: 2010 Offaly Games Structures
Sounds good, experimentation is fine and a lot was learned from the formats last year, hoepfully this one works and we can get some consistency from now on

Re: Interview with Sean Lowry
I think Lowry is on the money across the board. The man has seen it in both Deel Rovers Crossmolina and Ferbane. Anyone involved directly in a Club will vouch for what he is saying. U16 and particularly Minor are very difficult to manage. Whilst the attitudes of 15-18 year olds has changes over the ...

Re: edenderry v shannonbridge
I'd imagine it's down to the shortage of venues with lights, Edenderry were originally told it was to be in Ballinamere. Anyway in this day and age with mechanically propelled vehicles I don't think travelling across Offaly is a major issue. Afterall Edenderry had to travel to Ferbane to play Shamro...

Re: Good Interview with Seamus Darby
In the 50's, 60's & 70's the GAA used to arrange exhibition matches for the Diaspora across the water. Many of the games were played in Wembley, the Darbs must have played in some of them
