Adult club fixtures 2023
Just wondering if there is a master fixtures list for 2023 for adult football and hurling showing all league rounds and championships. Living outside the county but would like to head home to tog with the club but would really need a proper timetable to work off especially working around family. If ...

Re: Club Football Championship 2022
I agree with a lot of the views that the standard was very poor. The goal was the the major talking point. Aside from there appearing to be a foul which I know both sides will strongly argue for and against the main thing in my view is Tullamore missed a golden opportunity to tap over a point to go ...

Re: League & Championship hurling 2022
Intermediate Hurling Final While it was competitive and had an exciting finish, I found the standard was quiet poor. I was expecting a bit more quality for an intermediate final but only thinking about it after, this is really third tier competition in the county now. So the standard probably was ab...

Re: Offaly Hurlers 2022
That'd be right. Also never played Minor or U21 for his county. But Cody preferred the strong characters. On that, there probably were 15 better footballers in Meath in the Boylan years, but they went with the ones with the strength of character. Ditto with Klare hurlers in the Loughnane years. And...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Team - Championship 2022
Keen for people's opinion here on likely candidates for the Offaly Managers job, do we go like the majority of counties and promote one of our past greats to become manager or do we go for another man outside the county? Internally Phil Reilly and Pascal Kelleghan were floated around in recent week...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Team - Championship 2022
Thanks to the outgoing manager for his time and dedication. Its not an easy job. I certainly believe a completely new management team should come in. Whoever gets the job I would imagine will propose the package he is offering including his full backroom team. Wont dwell on 2022 season. For me, poor...

Re: Maughan & O' Malley / Dunne & Maher
I don’t know what your metrics for measuring if they would dig a team out. Think that is inaccurate. Both as I stated earlier, all that matters is Offaly. 2 wins from 2 with big scores, Which is brilliant to see. Maughan has them moving well . I definitely stand by my original point however I take ...

Re: Kehoe Cup 2019/2020
Great to see us getting a few wins under our belts at this time of the year, it can only be good for morale in the squad and get lads a bit of confidence... Can’t be underestimated how big a year this will be for Offaly hurling as now that we’ve dropped down we need to bounce right back up again ot...

I dont think theres any major loss.
We are not talking about players that will really dig in when its needed in a battle

Re: Senior A Hurling 2019
I am well away from the Offaly GAA scene now unfortunately but keep up to date on the results. Was hoping Belmont would make the final. Dont know many of the current squad but would of played against some of their veterans. Would know more of the former footballers better and always got on really we...

Re: Next Offaly Senior Hurling Manager
Probably going to be ate for saying this, but are people getting carried away in thinking that a Kilkenny coach will be the answer for Offaly hurling. Yes Brennan went in and had a good year with Laois but Laois have been working hard for a number of years to improve things. He would not of taken on...

Re: Leinster Under 20 Hurling Championship
I think we need to back the great result v Dublin with one more win otherwise it will be forgotten about it and not much benefit too us. Hopefully we can. Agreed. Really need to build on that win. Wexford will be on a high and need deflating. Like any Wexford team lads here will have hurled against...

Re: Joe McDonagh cup
Birr dont even train for football and have reached junior finals and semi finals and almost went senior about 7 years ago what's your point?? North Offaly people are just as arrogant when it comes to south clubs playing football. We need everyone doing well but if the so called traditional clubs ar...

Re: Joe McDonagh cup
A shift me hole one U20 team that has more North Offaly fellas isnt a shift. Look at the senior championship 7 of the clubs are from the south and next year there will probably be 8 again. Yes we need hurlers from all over the county but realistically you need south Offaly clubs doing well to stand...
