Re: Matt Connor The Greatest GAA Footballer of all time?
Unfortunately I was too young to remember seeing him in full flight. (I was at a few games but busy rolling down the hill in OCP at the time!) However the esteem in which he is held by the greats from that Kerry team alone would say that they felt he was one of the greatest forwards the game ever pr...

Re: Administrator
So just go ahead and apply for the job OF. But i'm guessing you should not be as blunt during the interview as you have been here! And if you get the job, you can secretly donate the money to various projects around the county, become a sort of "Highway to Heaven" character from the 80s TV...

Re: Offaly vs Tipperary - 2014 All-Ireland SHC qualifier Rou
Cost is a fair point, but not for many. Tickets are relatively cheap, harldy huge need to dine out out in Portlaoise, only an hour drive from the furthest part of the county. Ah no, we have a miserable shower who would prefer to be at home preaching about all that is wrong. There was a spell 15 mins...

The fccuucking Open night?
What in the name of God has this to do with lads walking off the panel?
Yes , management should insist on the players being there and they should have turned up.

This is really terrible,
Deepest sympathy to his family and clubmates.
It puts everything in perspective, very sad.

"Mr Padraig Boland stated that Offaly has one of the lowest take ups on coach education in Leinster. He complained that very few go on to attend level 1 and 2 coaching courses. 'We need to be raising the bar,' he said." POTH , I dont know what your point is with the foundation course in re...

Alan has done a lot of good work on different elements of the development squads , but think the management team was Willie Reynolds, Roy Malone, Alan Kidney and Conan Curley

Re: Un Cambio Es Bueno
Fair post Buckface, LS, with regard to access to minor players by the clubs, I would imagine the atitude is to go to the CB meeting and look for full use of the players with the aim of getting them for some of the league games. I also would have to take serious issue with the comments around what Pa...

In fairness to Duignan he is involved with his club, and it do you well to remember that he is raising a pair of teenagers himself with committments to meet. SO i'm sure he will do what he has to do to protect his RTE role, and appear where they need him. Either way, disgraceful crowd at the match f...

Best of luck to the team and management in the final tonight. They have done well so far and would be nice to get back to back wins in this competition.

Re: Un Cambio Es Bueno
"in devising and implementing a hurling coaching programme for all Offaly clubs (which seems to be just a part of his scope of work)." This will actually be one of the key parts of development. In my opinion it will be the changes in atitude that takes place in the clubs that will drive ch...
