Re: Clara v Durrow Junior B football S/F shambles
Lone Shark I'm sure that will be Durrows official line but I'm well advised by players that were on the field at full time that the Durrow players were aware Clara had won by a point. It wasnt a huge scoring game. Players would be kept up to date of the score from the line, especially in a knockout ...

Re: Clara v Durrow Junior B football S/F shambles
As I stated previously I could not attend this game so I am only going off second hand information but the general consensus from everyone I've spoken to is that all parties involved acknowledged a one point victory for Clara except the referee. This result cannot be allowed to stand. Also how can w...

Re: Clara v Durrow Junior B football S/F shambles
The word in Clara is there was definitely a mistake here and even one of Andersons umpires had Clara up by one. Surely Durrow should have had the decency to hold their hands up if its a genuine mistake. From what I'm hearing a few Durrow players thought the whole thing was hilarious while a Clara te...

Clara v Durrow Junior B football S/F shambles
Any word on this game? I couldn't make it but what I'm hearing is Clara won by a point but Anderson had scored it wrong and he had Durrow up by a point. How can this happen?

Re: Offaly Hurling Championships 2014
No mistake. Clara are a strong Junior team and if they had yesterdays team last year would never have been relegated. Coolderry were extremely bad though and never looked like scoring in 60 mins.

Re: Offaly Minor hurling 2014
I know its been debated to death but as a Clara man I never minded the journey down to Birr. The North Offaly crowd accepted thats the way it was and it never stopped any of us travelling. But hurling in Birr wouldn't make us any better. Big game tomorrow.

Re: U21 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
I'm open to correction on 2 of my 3 points there. Living away from Offaly and just want clarification, but I'd stand by my St Michaels point 100%

Re: U21 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
I assume St Patricks are a few clubs joined up with Edenderry yeah? Can someone clear this up for me? St Michaels have been a joke for years. I have no problem with Croghan and Clonmore lads joining another club at U21 level but surely it shouldnt be a powerhouse like Rhode??? Are Clara and Tullamor...

Very quiet on the football front lads. Any predictions? Very hard to see beyond a Clara-Rhode final.

Re: Offaly Senior Football Championship 2013
Ok point taken on most of your post. But as regards the weather in Portlaoise in 2009. We live in Ireland. We play in bad weather. Edenderry won in 2011 due to bad weather. Clara didn't have officials to call off the match in the stand. Clara should have beat Portlaoise in 2009 bottom line. I doubt ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Championship 2013
None of the last 4 will do any good in Leinster???? Rhode were in 2 Leinster Finals in recent years with a goalkeepers error costing them a title. Clara were a point up in the 2nd half in a semi final v Portlaoise, in Portlaoise. Clara had the strongest wind I've ever witnessed at a match on their b...
