Re: All Ireland Champions
Damn those sexy women. George O Connor was right, women are the root of all evil. Sure if it wasnt for my one at home I'd be a dual inter county star with a set of balls hanging off me

Re: Tullamore Tribune Revelations
Have you thought about entering The Apprentice Rhode Runner? With your model for a successful business you could impress Bill Cullen. Anyway best of luck to Coffey. There will probably be an improvement as there usually is once new management is installed but still not looking too good for the summe...

In the heat of the championship battle my money would go on cavan all day. Cavan will at least have some battle in them come Ulster championship while we will roll over and take a pasting off the flour bags.townman wrote:Cavan

Re: Offaly Minors
The offaly minors are due to play on friday evening v kilkenny, any one know what time and where its on?Was team named yet? Its on in Ballyragget. Don't expect the pitch to be lined or flags to be out. Went to the senior football final there in november and the pitch wasn't marked and the flags onl...

Re: Relegated
Our countys football woes now go beyond any one individual, or any one decision at this stage. Its actually an extremely complicated situation and we'd be here until the start of next years eagerly Division 4 campaign if we dug deep enough but heres a start. * County board messing about with manage...

Re: Lost in the Bog
I don't know where all these so called experts from the Daingean parish are getting their info from but there is little appetite for a senior amalgamation in the parish. Ask most lads and they are happy to represent their own club and wear their own jersey. Never mind the finances etc. required to s...

Re: Brian Cowen's legacy of failure as Taoiseach
I think ye might be looking at it with rose tinted glasses lads. All politicians are back stabbers and are only waiting to turn on their colleagues. Cowen was the leader of the country when the biggest mistakes were made and also minister of finance when policy dictated by the goverment lead to us n...

Re: Brian Cowen's legacy of failure as Taoiseach
Hard hitting stuff on RTE 1 last night on the documentary on the last days of the Cowen Government. In one sense you would feel for Cowen on a human level but some of the decisions that he made were absolutely mindless and some of the people he aligned himself with were bad choices. I felt very crin...

Re: McManus ends Offaly career
One word to describe the man: Legend.
Not the most gifted but was some man to work for the team and the jersey. Had a good year this year so surprising to see him leave now but he probably has had enough

Re: Junior A Football
Good win for Cappincur yesterday against the Carlow intermediate final losers. They seem to be well set up for a run in the Leinster. Next match is a home game against St Fechins of Louth who beat the Dublin representatives in the first round. Home advantage will be huge. On the other side Geraldine...

Re: Intermediate Football Championship 2011
What is going to happen now re promotion/relegation issue? Will Shamrocks be staying senior as a result of this outcome. The standard of intermediate football is not lessened just because Rhode's second team have won it. In the knock out rounds of the championship most games are close and in the bal...
