Re: The all Ireland hurling final

For neutrals, it's a case of more of the same, as both counties have dominated hurling. Won't lose any sleep over either county.
For 2011 let's hope a new team challenges Kilkenny.

Re: County senior football championship

SFC Q/Finals.
Rhode V Ferbane.
Clara V Tubber
Shamrocks V Ballycumber
Tullamore V Walsh Island.
One result from tonight's SFC stands out.
Erins Rovers 6-4 Edenderry 0-11. Bad night for a big club like Edenderry.

Re: Fall from grace and the importance of next manager.

Jolly Roger includes Lar Tompkins as a Corkman in his post. He is actually a Kildare man who moved to Cork, and won the 1990 SF All Ireland. The larger counties are naturally more likely to find succesful managers in their own ranks, given they will win more than the smaller counties. I am of the op...

Re: Paul Galvin & indiscipline in GAA

I agree with BNM man, if Galvin was from a weaker county the full suspension would stand. I am sick of the whingeing and cant from Kerry. Paul Galvin has a record within Kerry. Are there too many levels of appeal in the GAA, as some journalists suggest.

Football Qualifiers

These are my predictions for the qualifiers after last night's draw. Tyrone v Mayo Mayo, I think Tyrone are not good, as they struggled to beat 13 man Westmeath. Down v Kildare Down, No contest here, as Wexford are shattered after the Leinster Final, it will be hard to motivate them for a nother gam...

Re: Pat Roe steps down

AZ offaly is correct in saying the players must share some responsibility for the debacle in Tullamore v Down. It made for incredible and sad news in Thurles on Sat. evening. The players had a much publicised strike a few years ago, but have given the supporters nothing back in return.ever year we h...

Re: Offaly - Waterford. Another display to be proud of

I am in agrement with BNM man and the other contributors after a display which put the pride back in our famous and unique jersey. Offaly got nothing from the referee, a fair shoulder on John Mullane resultd in yet another easy free to Waterford near the end, one of many in the game I must say. Offa...

Re: RTE coverage -v- TV 3 Coverage

I think TV3 are doing ok, and will improve with experience, their panellists who are a breath of fresh air incidentally, give an honest opinion. The RTE panel could be retired, as they seem to be past their sell by date, including Pat Spillane. There must be panelists outside the 'traditional' count...

Tickets for Sunday's MFC on sale from 7pm tonight in O'Connor Park from 7pm. I think Offaly v Down is ticket, but I imagine cash will be taken. Thurles is cash at gate.

Re: Super!

I have just joined up, and what a time to join after Offaly's fabulous victory last night, just like the old days!!!. Like Black and Red exile I was expecting the worst, but am happy to be proved wrong. Fair play to the sporting Limerick supporters last night, they were gracious in defeat. I wouldn't...
