Re: RHODE MARCH ON
Up until last Sunday I didn't really give Rhode much of a chance of landing a Leinster title but after this win in Navan I honestly think they have a decent chance. Crokes obviously found Garrycastle quite a handful and I think most of us would fancy Rhode getting the better of the Westmeath champio...

Re: Oakley and Mullins retire
Thanks for the service ye have given the tri-colour over the years lads, I, like many would have seen virtually every game the two of them played for Offaly and there is no doubt they will be sorely missed, especially Oakley who was a big favourite with everybody. I remember when Laois relegated us ...

Re: Bad day for offaly hurling
backofthenet don't be getting carried away, it was only a couple of late goals that took the bad look of the scoreline today, like it or not Coolderry proved they were gutless when the heat was turned on 2 weeks ago, some players wearing green that day just didn't fancy going in for the dirty ball f...

DRUMCULLEN THROUGH TO LEINSTER FINAL
Well done to the Sash today, a very impressive victory in Mullingar in the worst fog I've ever seen in my life. I think the final score was 5.14 to 1.5, not 100 per cent sure of Drumcullen's final total, it could have been 5.15 or 5.16, to be honest from where i was standing around 40 to 45 yards fr...

RHODE MARCH ON
A hard fought win today by the village on a score of 1.11 to 1.7. First half was crap, half time 1.3 to 0.3 to Rhode with Niall Mac blasting a penalty to the net, Niall took alot of hardship today, he still kicked 1.6[1.4 from placed balls] he did kick 2 beauties from play in the second half includi...

Re: Bad day for offaly hurling
I have to say I spoke to Westmeath people afterwards and found them very pleasant and certainly while enjoying their great victory didn't in any way crow about it. Townman is right, Coolderry did not have the stomach to win this game against a very motivated and well drilled outfit who with the help...

Re: Whats Joe Dooley Waiting for
It looks very like the Ken Barlow of hurling will probably give it one more year which is a great shame. It will mean more of the same again next year, a struggle to stay in Div 1, more than likely huff and puff against KK and Galway in Leinster before going down with another moral victory and yet a...

Re: County senior football championship
Some decisions went against Ferbane when the game was in the melting pot last night, the most blatent one was when Ciaran Kenny was blatently pushed in the square and how the ref who was perfectly positioned didn't spot it beggers belief but apart from that when Ferbane went 3 points clear early in ...

Re: County senior football championship
Bracknaghboy, there is more chance of Vinny Claffey coming back into football panel than Shane Dooley being brought on board if his dad gets another year with the hurlers, hell will freeze over if Joe Dooley lets Shane anywhere near the football panel.

Re: Intermediate semi-finalists confirmed following weekend...
Love to see Raheen win it now, god knows they have been knocking on the door long enough but I have a sneaky feeling Shannonbridge might be just hitting form at the right time.
