Barry didn't start last night due to the knee injury that he picked up in the Shamrocks game. It looks like Rhode will be lucky to have him back at all this year.

And the county board go on about too many games....if they decided the groups on a head to head basis followed by points diff you would hardly need playoffs and thus not congest the fixtures... So say Ferbane beat Shamrocks they will have to play each other again to decide the 3rd placing - if the g...

Q/F's

Does anyone out there know what the deal is if teams end up on equal points- does it go head to head/playoff/points scored?

LS, is that 7/1 available about Tullamore now? I'd say on the noght a draw was a fair enough result - really was a game of 40mins and 20 mins. Shane Sullivan was moved to full back before half time and probably settled the ship for Rhode. On the whole what seemed glaringly obvious to me was the lack...

Thanks for that. Tullamore would have to look good value at 7/1 but Rhode at evens is very skimpy. Would one get 2/1 anywhere about them.
Birr at 4/6 is a little short?

Were not Kilclonfert etc given a chance to play senior football within the confines of a "Daingean Parish" team but the clubs invoved din't proceed. Is this not what'll happen in other areas? From what I hear and see on the field the Rhode teams don't seem to have benefitted fom the growin...

The county "junior" team was open to ALL players who had not played senior inter county champioship football in 2004 OffalyManAway wrote: Bottom line, right now it's way way easier for an average or poor footballer age 15 or 16 from Rhode to develop into a good county player (It happens, l...

There was a forum there this year for your junior/intermediate club plus senior players who hadn't made it to display their talents in the county jersey - namely the Offaly Junior team. This was so well supported by the clubs/players that Laz Molloy was called on to play in goals - nearly being summ...

I remember questioning Kilmurrays training methods back in March and wheter he was priming the guys just for the Louth game. It was vary apparant against Laois that Offaly ran out of steam in the last 15-20 minutes. I'd say this had happened by half time against Carlow. The lads just looked "st...

In my opinion Kilmurray should step down - I believe it was suggested to him in the dressing room afterwards but I dunno. He is a headstrong man and would he leave behind 40K or so over the next two years?
What you think LS?

I agree with your sentiments LS about Killmurray - he doesn't inspire confidence - as said before asking a spectator what time is left in CPk etc and then when the lads return to training after a week off he proceeds to do warm up as normal and then announces that they will have a game of soccer acc...
