Re: New Managers for 2018

its a bit strange really.were getting in a manager that prob will need directions to get to tullamore and o connor park.and if he had to name 5 offaly players would prob struggle. he replaces a well regarded offaly man with a lifetimes experience of playing and managing in the county, who had zero ...

Relegations-Promotions

With Rynaghs and Brigids relegated this evening, how will they fare next year in Senior B and Intermediate respectively? Rynaghs, I believe could fall through the trapdoor again. I think that Brigids could also struggle in intermediate; with the Croghan men only managing a draw against Bracknagh and...

Re: New Managers for 2018

the selectors he chooses or gets will play a key role in identifiying these so called roses. i would like to see young selectors picked, with players identified from all ends of the county. thinking of lads like cathal daly, padraig kelly, scott brady, peter brady, pascal kellghan, colm quinn.. He ...

Re: New Managers for 2018

Wishing the man and his backroom team the best of luck. I think there's a good squad available, and talented young players that, if looked after, can make real progress in the next couple of years. Under Flanagan's reign I think good progress was made re s/c, so there's a good platform there alread...

Re: New Managers for 2018

I know very little about the man, but the best of luck to Stephen Wallace. I assume whatever style he opts to play will be the one that best suits the players he has available. There's no point 'open and attacking' ourselves into Division 4 if we're easily picked apart at the back. I believe he was...

Re: New Managers for 2018

He seems to have a healthy pedigree and one would imagine his work with a 3rd level team in Tralee would give him experience of blending the u-21 set up into the senior panel. A positive appointment and hopefully our lads can row in behind him. More worrying is the hurling management situation. I w...

Re: Offaly training gear

Training gear is earned, not bought. These guys literally risk their lives to wear that gear and you want to come in and buy it as a gift or something? Or worse still, wear it out on a Saturday night to get the shift? How dare you? How absolute dare you? If Joe Public gets to wear the same gear as ...

Re: Offaly training gear

Tried a while back. Try sportsworld or whatever it's called now. Would be a great idea if training gear was for sale. But knowing the naïvity of our county board, it probably won't happen. Thanks for the response! I've tried and all they have is the stuff thats available on the O'neills website whi...

Genuine question, presented without comment. Who is going to do this forcing?
