Re: Under 16 Fr Manning Cup

How could this happen? I thought Offaly spent years trying to get a team entered into the Fr. Manning, and now that it seems they're in this happens?

Re: Revolution not reform needed in underage hurling

Some post, POTH. I'd be more into football myself (that hurling is way too scientific for me!!), and I'd agree broadly with the bulk of what you said, and to an extent a certain amount of it applies to football as well; over the length of time the development squads/ academies have been in place, th...

Re: Poll: Who Shares The Majority of the Blame

Something I've often thought about so I'll throw it out here and see what would people think. From underage coaching, I would not be entirely comfortable woking on fitness programs for teams, in that I wouldn't be anywhere near being an expert or qualified to judge, and instead would be depending on...

Re: tom coffey new offaly manager

Hope it goes well for him, it'll be a tough ask to be ready for Kildare game, he and the players will need all the support they can get. Operation salvage what can be salvaged from this season, and have a stable structure to work on from the off next year.

Re: Gerry Cooney steps down as Offaly Manager

To be honest, it's going to take a long time to get things straightened out, and it's catch 22 regarding appointing an interim manager or otherwise. A ritual slaughter would seem to be on the cards against Kildare, player confidence is likely on the floor,so I can't imagine who could come into the j...

Re: Schools Football

Congratulations to both schools; the fact that they're both competing at this level not for the first time suggests it's no flash in the pan, and testament to very good players and very good work done both in the school and club level. Referring to earlier posts about the difference between colleges...

8 points to 7 up in injury time, would be a massive win if they can hang on!!!

Re: Offaly vs Roscommon NFL Div 3 12th February 2012

After watching the match, it's easy to see where a lot of the frustration is coming from. For a lot of the game, won a good deal of breaking ball around the middle of the field, but when within 30-45 metres of the goal a succession of passes over and back across the field and eventually backwards be...
