Re: Football league 3 2017

I was up in Longford on Sunday and it made for disappointing viewing to say the least. It wasn't that the Offaly lads didn't try. They all gave as much as they could from my viewing. However, it seemed to me that Offaly were leggy and didn't have the mileage clocked up in terms of running. Flat tyre...

Re: Leinster SFC Round 1 vs Longford

Best of Luck to this panel of players and management team.

I expect them to deliver a real cut throat championship performance, and banish the nightmarish result from last year to the memory banks.

Re: Offaly v Carlow, Leinster round robin Saturday 7th May

Holy lord lads but is the level of apathy from County Board delegate's not frightening? What is going on in there at all? The executive of the County Board are admittedly floundering but when no one with the exception of Brian Gavin has the balls to even ask a question is it a sign that Gaelic Games...

Congrats to St Mary's Edenderry

Congrats go out to the under-16 boys of St Mary's Edenderry who won the Junior A All-Ireland Final over the Easter break beating Patrician High School, Carrickmacross in the final. A special achievement for all involved as this is only the 3rd year that there was an All Ireland Series at this level,...

Re: Allianz Hurling League Roinn 1B 2016

Damien Lawlor on RTE Radio this morning saying that the Kerry players outworked the Offaly guys yesterday in Birr.

He also says that some of their players ran 12 - 13 kms in yesterdays match which is phenomenal.

The 'outworking' comment is something that has to stick in the craw.

Re: 2016 National League Div 3

As posted above, and from a clubman point of view, really delighted to see Sean Pender back in with Offaly. The right age profile and in my opinion a genuine Inter county player. Surprised to see his name omitted in some previews of the forthcoming season as Sean will bring real leadership and quali...

Re: Walsh Cup 2016

I have to say watching this Birr / Connor park debate for the last while has been amusing to me if at times quite tiresome. A pitch has two sets of posts. same all over the country. Great attendance, good result. Enjoy it - any day you beat the Cats is a good one. Learn a few lessons out of it, trai...
