All Ireland Club Hurling Championship 2012-2013

For me, the provincial and all Ireland club hurling championship is the best hurling competition we have at the moment. Obviously a top interconty match is way above a club match but I think the club championship is much more open (more democratic?), more interesting and has teams more evenly matche...

Re: Junior Hurling Championship

Have to agree that is wrong that the Junior finals are only going ahead today. It is 5 weeks since the semi-finals. The finals definitely could have gone ahead earlier than 21st October. Junior B Final first. Playing with Kinnitty, we've come across both teams this year. Raheen had a big win over us...

Re: Ireland v Scotland Hurling/Shinty Match

Again enjoying this today but not as good as last year. Patrick Horgan is the big difference between the teams altho Tommy Walsh is playing great stuff in the backs also. Shane Dooley was quiet enough in the 1st half. Scotland have missed a lot of frees.

Re: Senior Hurling quarter-finals previewed

September. The childer back in school, the Indian summer on the doorstep, club knockout stages are here. Something for nearly everyone this weekend with quarter-finals in Senior, Intermediate and both Junior grades. And two weeks earlier than last year, at that. Defeat will usher in the winter for ...

Re: Junior Hurling Championship

In Junior B Shamrocks will not play Raheen in semi-final as both these teams topped their groups and will avoid eachother in semis. Both will be drawn to play winners of this weekend quarter-finals. Gracefield should be far too strong for Kilurin while the Kinnitty v Killeigh quarter-final should be...

Re: McDonnell in running for Offaly football job

Midland 3 have reported on Facebook that Emmet McDonnell has the Offaly senior job. Surely he should have been given minor job and Stephen Darby the senior job. Doesn't make sense. Hope a decent 3 or 5 year plan will be put in place.

Offaly Under 21 Hurling 2012

Due to a change in personal circumstances Ger Coughlan is no longer in a position to give a commitment to Offaly U21 hurling for 2012. The committee now propose the following U21 management Aidan Hanrahan, Percy Clendennin, Jimmy Egan. This is a statement from the County Board. I don't know the rea...
