Re: Additions to County panels Football and Hurling

I was at the Wheery game also Johnston scored 0-3 from play and 1 free highest scorer on the pitch a quiet game for him and still the highest scorer on the field on a terrible day for football. At the game I was informed that he’s playing with a severely bad ankle injury and shouldn’t be playing at ...

Re: NFL Division 3 2019

I know that but we’ve 1 point from 4 and have it all to do. 0-6 from play in 70 minutes. 2 out of the starting 6 forwards scored. Can you not see my point?

Re: NFL Division 3 2019

I wouldn’t say rightly so considering how much we’ve struggled up front to get scores? Surely he would’ve been worth a point to us today? And last Sunday? We could be sitting on 4 points and top instead of 1 and in 7th place

Re: NFL Division 3 2019

Good to get a draw considering we were 1 down in injury time. Louth beating Laois and Westmeath drawing makes it all to play for. Not a good game of football loads of mistakes on both sides and terrible shooting, Longford missing key players and Robbie smyth had to go off injured didn’t help them. L...

Re: Newspaper Articles and other media bits

John Maughan interview on sports joe gaa hour , talks about the long drive to training making it an 8 hour shift by the time he gets home and how he hates the drive very worrying for his future in the job in the coming years, also about Niall mcnamee return and about how he signed the contract and h...

Re: NFL Division 3 2019

We don’t have enough free scoring forwards who are going to shoot the lights out and who can shoot under pressure. And a reoccurring theme of not being able to close games out is a big problem

I heard from a good source Niall Mc is back training he won’t feature tomorrow but if offaly are struggling in the league would be mad not to use him

Re: NFL Division 3 2019

Johnson isn’t involved with either squad. Very poor from the county board, offaly senior hurlers have a good few u20s in playing the league but won’t any into the footballers very disappointing considering what he showed us last year a bigger comfy wouldn’t let their talent slip away , especially wi...

Re: NFL Division 3 2019

I’d play him inside especially with the offensive mark he would take advantage of that

Re: O’Byrne Cup 2019…ish

I wouldn’t agree that Carlow were closer to full strength. Carlow were missing 5 of the team that lost to Tyrone in last years qualifier. How many of that Offaly team will start vs Meath in Championship? At least 10 so I would say teams were at equal strength today

Re: O’Byrne Cup 2019…ish

I’m not sure as to why he isn’t with the u20s all I heard is he is not on either squad right now I presume he’s pissed off with not being called for senior squad. He will play Senior in the future for sure don’t know the lad but from what I heard minds himself very well doesn’t drink which is rare t...

Re: O’Byrne Cup 2019…ish

He surely knows who Cian Johnson is after last year he was all over national media. The performance he put in last year in Parnell Park hasn’t been seen since Niall mcnamee 0-6 from play at 18 and it’s just a shame he’s not on any Offaly panel at the minute a bigger county would not let that happen ...

Re: O’Byrne Cup 2019…ish

Maughan complaining about players not wanting to play for Offaly yet one of the best young players in the country is sitting at home in Ferbane and he is doing nothing about it. Plus there’s 2/3 more u20s better than what the seniors have at the minute
