Re: Offaly SHC

I'd say the hurling communities of Birr, Coolderry, Kinnitty, Shinrone, Clareen, Belmont all want to see a Rynaghs v KIlcormac county final, right enough. Training has been pared back and they are already looking towards next year lest they ruin everything and get in the way of some peoples' 'dream...

Re: Offaly SHC

St Rynagh look like clear favorites at this stage but i wonder are KK a team in decline or a team holding back till the meet St Rynagh in the semi final or final . I think that most people want to see a St Rynagh KK final . St Rynagh beat KK in 2015 and 2016 semi final and KK beat them in the 2012 a...

Re: Offaly hurling manager??

Davy style of hurling would be a problem if we had the hurlers and the money to attract him .We dont have either . I could not see Davy allowing a team that he managed to play the hurling that Tipp and Galway treated us to on Sunday . Himself and donal Og are both into "modern " hurling whereas i th...

Re: Offaly GAA - in Crisis

Listen to the interview ,some mess ,its no wonder the County board were holding their meeting in camera .all these guys seem to settle scores in public including L Hogan . All claim to be the only people that care about Offaly hurling . Someone needs to tell these guys stay quite unless they have so...

Re: Offaly SHC

Thankfully only 1 more round in the group stage to go and onto the business end then. Probable Quarter Final pairings: Kilcormac / Killoughey vs Shinrone Kinnitty vs Belmont Coolderry vs Seir Kieran Birr vs St Rynaghs As far as I know the winners of Kilcormac / Killoughey vs Shinrone and the winner...

Re: Michael Duignan vs. Davy Fitz

Come on lads big deal Wexford got promoted to 1a in the league . Galway won the league and when it mattered the hammered Wexford in the lenster final . Wexford lost heavily to Tipp in the league , and the were well beaten by Galway and Waterford in the championship ,Ok they beat Kilkenny but last se...

Offaly GAA - in Crisis

Michael was correct to express his opinion thats his job .I agree with him totally .I heard Larry Murphy on the radio on sunday evening and he said the same thing .He said he go mad if he was in the full forward line in the last few minutes when guys were hand passing across the half back line inste...

Re: Offaly SHC

No medals given out in july typical Birr improving ,they hammer Shamrocks and they have a cut at KK in their final group game which will set them up nicely for the quarter finals . St Rynagh are top of their group and are clear favorites at this stage . KK top the other group, they have had to replac...

Re: Offaly hurling manager??

Just wondering is there any chance that the Offaly county board would talk to Anthony Cunningham before Dublin make him an offer he cant refuse .

Re: Additions to County panels Football and Hurling

I Think if we could have those 15 taking to the field with a good manager we see much more than a marginal gain very quickly .

I agree but that was always the case ,good players and good team can adapt to the situation on the field .

Re: Hurling Plan, Whats the story?

Fair play to G Cahill and J Dooley for stepping forward ,both are very respected by the players ,both were shocked how poor K Ryan was as a manager and disagreed with his negative game plan from what i hear .

Re: Offaly GAA - in Crisis

Galway Cork and Tipp are attacking teams who play fast direct ball into skillfull forwards .Waterford Wexford and Clare are much more defensive and play with a sweeper . So which are playing modern hurling???? To me the first 3 are playing attacking hurling ,the other 3 are playing with fear. I pref...
