Re: 50 years on, how Offaly won the 1971 All-Ireland final
My god what shite talk, we are blessed to have those legends still alive to celebrate them. They deserve every bit of credit they get, maybe don't pick up another paper.

Re: Senior A Hurling 2019
Best team won in the end though Rynaghs weren't helped by a shocking referee particularly in the first half, along with shooting terrible wides and a stupid sending off. R/E did the major damage with the extra man. Rynaghs missing key players came home to roost today against decent opposition. Score...

Re: Senior A Hurling 2019
Rynaghs will know they are not a top class outfit, if any other club in Offaly think that they would do better, the starting position is to win your county final, there are other club teams on our tg4 every Sunday and they are almost as good as county sides (be it playing teams within their own coun...

Re: Senior A Hurling 2019
Hard on da heart stuff, more wrecked than excited as Rynas were poor for long periods especially first half. Seemed nervous, fear of cocking up again probably at heart of it. Fair play Birr and Barry Whelehan did a great job with them. Ryan, Mullins, Cleary, Hayden great servants. Rynas down Horan n...

Re: Senior A Hurling 2019
Rynaghs down key men Niall Wynne and Pat Camon. With Danny Maloney and Simon Og Lyons gone it makes Camons loss even greater at the back, but sure what can they do only give it their all. Wet conditions forecast to, wont make for free flowin hurlin in either game at weekend.

Re: Senior A Hurling 2019
Hard to see past K/K or Rynaghs at this stage.. Unless one of the other improve. Birr were useless tonight they need to get everyone back for the knockout stages to have any chance of progressing. Rynaghs were on top for most of the game as the scoreline suggests. [/quote Birr were bad but will imp...

Re: Next Offaly Senior Hurling Manager
Gary Cahill has done noting as a manager so putting him in as a senior manage would be a move to madness. We need someone who is going to get the best talent in the county to come in with us and someone who has the experience of training a county team. My point exactly, apparently he was Kevin Ryan...

Re: Next Offaly Senior Hurling Manager
Gary Cahill has already been part of recent senior mgt set ups, has been with Gracefiel juniors to so big buds with our chairman, but has already done a stint with Kevin Ryan and his predesessor.

Re: Joe McDonagh cup
mathematically now, are Offaly back in with "a chance" of reaching the final of this competition after Westmeaths defeat to Kerry on Saturday, that's hoping somehow Offaly can beat both Antrim and Kerry and Kerry/Westmeath loose to Laois if they (Kerry/Westmeath) have yet to play Laois......

Re: Leinster Under 20 Hurling Championship
Best of luck to all this eve, I expect a good win based on potential of this crew, with serious strength in depth, and westmeath being annihilated by all comers two years ago at Minor U18 level. These lads are a good bet for a run in Leinster especially with Galway and Kilkenny on the other side.
