Re: Allianz Hurling League Roinn 1B 2016
well done to the Offaly panel and management yesterday, some result down there and a big score. Was at the home games so far and was quietly impressed with the attitude with the players so far, there work rate and off the ball running has been good, it has been there decision making that was letting...

Re: €45,000 Development Fund
I was at the nursery coaching course in Banagher on Sat morning last which was given by the excellent Damien Young from Tipp and some of the ideas and points he put across were very was a real eye opener. Not sure where all the money is going but the equipment that he was using to develop our U6s an...

[quote]Have you splinters from sitting ON THE Fence? So your answer to poor results at senior is to turn 2 full time plus one part time into 4 part time? Great stuff lad, keep up the maths classes! Plus "if lads take on the role of coach surely they would do the courses if they were on near the...

Re: Offaly Hurling Championships 2015
As far as I know there is 3 teams coming out of the junior b and junior a and 4 teams coming out intermediate and senior but with a lot of deciding games last weekend it did cause a lot of confusion at some of the games I was at. Last year it was 4 teams from every group and im sure it was well docu...

Re: Offaly GAA is in Some State
Just on a positive note, over the weekend I heard that our U15 hurling development squad beat both Kilkenny and Tipperary, don't have details but great results. I know Shane Hand is involved with this team but maybe someone could tell me who else is with him. Also the U16 played Dublin twice over th...

[quote][The performance of Cillian Kiely in the Offaly v Wexford Under 21 Game on Conor Mc Donald (who scored 1-10 last night) failed to win for him any real game time in our clash with Clare. Are we back to the situation that the club you are from decides whether you will get on the Offaly Senior H...

Re: Offaly vs Clare - 2015 Senior Hurling Qualifier R1
First things best of luck to the lads on Saturday, for a player it cant be nice position to be in. Imagine this, you are a player in with Offaly hurlers and everywhere you go or anyone u to talk to about the bad state of affairs Offaly hurling is in, giving out about the county board, the management...

Re: Laois v Offaly – Leinster Hurling Quarter Final 7th Ju
That's some about of players over a short period of time, I also thinks think the likes of Gary Connelly and David Cox and a few more were brought in for training matches this year. I think the volume of players gone through the county panel over the last few years shows that as a county we are main...

Re: Laois v Offaly – Leinster Hurling Quarter Final 7th Ju
Fair play to Laois for the win and for sticking with a gameplan/system that for a 15 min spell went wrong but had trust in what they were doing despite their supporters shouting to go man on man. As for Offaly most of the points have been covered on how bad Offaly were. What beggars belief is the BW...

Re: Laois v Offaly – Leinster Hurling Quarter Final 7th Ju
Any news from the camp in the last few weeks, any injuries, surprise picks or mad tactics? Apart from the match against Tipp when they was different reports on the performance and size of the defeat it seems very quiet from the camp and I suppose the team wont be announced until few hrs before throw...

Re: League Quarter-Final Offaly Vs Tipperary, 29 March 3pm
Jesus townman a lad is struggling for form, not hurling well is a part of all part of sport but to accuse a lad of no heart is a different story altogether. I know the lads hurling are working very hard in putting Offaly hurling back on the map and the effort they are putting in on and off the field...

Re: League Quarter-Final Offaly Vs Tipperary, 29 March 3pm
It's a strange one alright with Brian looking for d match in Birr considering that lads would be more familiar these days with Tullamore it would be different if they were training in Birr every evening. I do agree that more matches should be played in Birr but wouldn't make a blind bit of differenc...
