Re: The mad month of August 1998 . . .

That Saturday in Thurles is a memory for a lifetime. Loughnane tried every lie & dirty trick in his book but we out-hurled them. I had a travelling companion that day... My Parish Priest and he a proud Cork man. He despised Loughnane for lies dirty tricks and lies and that's before his "3 priests" l...

Kevin forgets that f...

Re: DIV 3 NFL predictions and general chit chat.

Searingdrive: I was there for the stupidly awarded peno (Ref Tom Cunningham Waterford) in the 60 semi--McCarten charged into a few Offaly defenders, well outside the square, and bounces back off then onto his ass and was given the equalising peno……… I was not there in 61, locked up in boarding schoo...

Re: DIV 3 NFL predictions and general chit chat.

If you listen to some of the old timers 'the hurling crowd' (code for Fr Vaughan) lost the 1961 All Ireland by refusing to bring Peter Nolan home from New York; this is usually accompanied by a description of Nolan's outstanding display on Sean Purcell in a Railway Cup game. Now that was one of the...

Great to see that kind of expertise and experience being harnessed. The finance committee certainly looks like it is a huge improvement on what has gone on before.....

I can see the Management Committee on the Official Offaly GAA website but not the sub-committees. Where did "jimbo" find them ??
