Re: Why
When the word came out you could guess who was involved. Usual suspects who have withdrawn from panels before when things didn't suit them.Sometimes you just have to wonder what goes on in fellows heads.

Re: Offaly vs Tipperary - SFC Qualifier Rnd 1 30/06/2012
Expecting a good performance and a win tonight. Heard things are going well in training and with a good attitude it makes all the difference. Going back to the league match in April I think Casey, Shane, Dan Currams and Sean Pender were injured and Niall Smith, Richie and Ross Brady had withdrawn fr...

Re: Offaly v Sligo NFL 25/03/2012
A bit harsh I think on Hanamy and Boland who played full games in Cavan the previous Sunday and in fairness with 14 men for the second half they played ok in my opinion. Not sure they are good enough having said that but I heard they are both training hard. As for Sean Pender he has been poor in the...

Offaly v Sligo NFL 25/03/2012
Any reaction to the team named today for Sunday. First start for Eoin Rigney at full back and 4 others from the u 21s that played on Wednesday night. Looks a very young team overall but still plenty of experience. Maybe we can build on the win in Cavan last week.

Re: The Great Escape is On
Not long home from Cavan. Have to say fair play to the players for showing some bottle at last. 4 points down and then a sending off didn't look good as Cavan were the better team at that stage. But somehow they found something and had a bit of luck along the way. Niall Smith, Brian Darby, Brian Conn...

Re: Antrim v Offaly
Went up to Belfast mode in hope than expectation. To be fair we were well in the game and playing well until the sending off which was unforgivable even I can't remember the last time a player got more than a yellow card for language. We had a definite penalty turned down when Ken was taken out of i...

Re: offaly v laois football challenge
Alan Mulhall back in goal - interesting , is Kevin Meehan injured? No Sean Pender either. Sounds encouraging though unless Laois were not that interested or trained earlier . Nigel Dunne and John Malone seem to be stepping up and Brian Connors return is crucial.

Re: U21 Football Management
Expecting a big display on Wednesday night. This is a serious u 21 team that have worked really hard.Don't think Meath are strong this year.Let's get and support the team in big numbers.

Re: offaly v laois football challenge
Can anyone name the team that started last night? Did Brian Connor and Alan Mc Namee play? Sounds encouraging . Maybe there is still hope. Were Laois strong or did they play a weakened team?

Re: Another crisis in Offaly football
Heard an interesting thing today. Apart from Cieran Mc, Scott Brady and John Reynolds who were not asked back there was a big group of guys who were asked and wouldn't or couldn't give the commitment including Ger Rafferty, Conor Evans, Stepher Lonergan, Matt Mitchell, Karol Slatts, John Coughlan, J...
