Re: Hurling Championship
LoneShark, theres no need to be so defensive. I was not knocking Brosna. if you read my post I stated that they work very hard for each other. And they are brilliantly prepared by a very enthusiastic man who has done a brilliant job in uniting 4 or 5 clubs which other clubs on their own fail to do. ...

Re: Hurling Championship
Dreadful hurling. Kinnitty will be very disappointed to lose this. Should have been a win. In fairness the Gaels get the max out of their players. Not the most natural skillful hurlers but they are very well prepared and work hard to cover for each other. They know their limitations and not afraid t...

Re: SH Hurling Championship on a Thursday
Totally agree. Terrible fixing championship games for mid week. Whatever about training, lads working outside the county would be coming home most weekends anyway so games should be fixed for then ONLY. We have seen some county players transfer clubs but its really unnecessary when games are fixed f...

What the hell is going on with Ken Casey and Kelly. Richie Dalton is looking a bit distracted as well.

Re: Offaly vs Galway 17/6/2012 LSHC Semi Final
Townman is right, Horan was picking up Canning and done quite a good job on him in a defence that was literally given the run around. I would say the only way to play against forwards like that is for every line on the pitch to withdraw about 10 to 15 metres and crowd the space and make them shoot ...

Junior hurling championship was also scheduled for this weekend. Is that going ahead as planned on master fixture schedule?

Re: Offaly vs Galway 17/6/2012 LSHC Semi Final
I dunno Townman, I was convinced Horan was picking up Donnellan for his first two scores and the shot that Dempsey saved before Burke sliding in on the Dempsey to put the ball in the net. Think franks was on him after that and because of trying to compensate for height difference went out in front b...

Re: Offaly vs Galway 17/6/2012 LSHC Semi Final
Very poor performance indeed. Probably fair to say we made Galway look better than they are and in some spells showed just how poor Galway can be. Kenny had a mare. That is fair to say, but in fairness he kept his head and improved as the game went on despite being isolated on his man. The first 5 m...

Re: Offaly versus Kildare 16th June 2012
Lads we want a win. Offaly teams never feared anybody and we aint gonna start now. Offaly have to keep plugging away and if they are within striking distance with 5 to go then a win is very possible. Kildare have blown all their big games when it came to the crunch. Our lads have been off the beer t...

Re: Offaly Vs Wexford in the Leinster U21HC
Disgraceful result last night. And I must admit, when I saw the team sheet for this I was expecting a trimming. I did'nt go into it too much as some people would jump on my back saying I'm being too negative. Minor and u21 the last number of years has been terrible. The likes of Carlow, Westmeath an...

Could somebody list the subs for the game please?
On paper the starting 15 looks quiet weak.

Re: Offaly Vs Wexford 2/6/12 Leinster Championship
Well said Bracknaghboy. You summed it up perfectly. This is a game Offaly can win if they hurl hard and aggressive but use their heads. The Wexford way is to come out all fired up and try rattle the opposition. Match them at this but keep hurling and let them get all hot and bothered. Coolderry show...

Re: Offaly versus Kildare 16th June 2012
Offaly football just has not got players like Grennan and Mooney anymore. Big strong men who did not need a gym. They took everything a team would throw at them and they would dish it back twice as hard. Real men. What we have now is lads with the hair gelled up, taped up sleeves of their jersey, fa...

Re: SF Challenge, Offaly vs Laois, tonight in Mountmellick
Made it in for most of the game. It was open enough typical challenge game. Mark Dunne was one of Offalys better performer. Maloney was very good too. Still a work in progress though. He has potential but it will take a bit more time. Good to see him stepping up. The laois half backs did alot of dam...

Re: Offaly minor hurlers
Some strange decisions taken by management alright. Andrew Connolly another starter last year was only on the bench. is he struggling with injury?
