Re: U21 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
They will have to earn senior status first if this is the case. What would happen o the individual clubs? Why not join junior and intermediate clubs from both north and south offaly together into two teams and let them compete in Senior A or Senior B. Something has to change!! Contradicting yourself?

Re: U21 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
Out of interest is it not hard to get behind a team that has a temporal identity? There is no relation to any of the adult teams and it seems to be a nice thing to win but then they migrate back to their respective clubs and the championship begins the achievement is presumably long forgotten. What...

Yep, Senior B next year. 4 going down from Senior and 4 going up from Intermediate.... Should leave 8 in each of Senior, Senior B and IntermediateTrue Red wrote:4 going down this year in Senior?

Re: Accountability
Fair enough. My mistake... I'd be compelled to know what you were refering to.Buck Face wrote:I was referring to a lot of things but benefiting from playing hurling on a 'tighter' pitch was not one of them.

Re: Accountability
Where did I mention a 'tighter' pitch? You'll be accusing me of being in favour of moving hurling indoors next. And if you think that is ' everything that is/has been wrong with Offaly for the past 20 years' then I suggest you delve a little deeper. Nonsense is right. You werent refering to moving ...

Re: Accountability
I would strongly dispute the context of your post in relation to OCP and I think you’ll find more than just ‘South Offaly people’ disagreeing with you on this one. Thats everything that is/has been wrong with offaly for the past 20 years. Think by moving the game to a 'tighter' pitch that we will b...

Re: selling out to Rupert?
Kilkenny v Offaly is the first game for Sky! Whatever about paying in to watch this game I certainly wont be paying to watch it on Sky! As Paul Rouse said on Drivetime this evening this is not just the thin end of the wedge it's a good bit up the wedge. It is extremely concerning that people will b...

http://www.irishtimes.com/sport/gaelic-games/gaa-to-announce-broadcasting-deal-with-sky-sports-1.1740874 here ya go. It seems that 14 matches will be on Sky. By all accounts this could include the leinster football final and both munster hurling semi-finals as this is the package that TV3 had last ...

Re: Football League Division 3 2014
I've actually made the point earlier in the thread, because of the work (Roscommon) have put in over the past ten years they are now reaping the rewards of a good crop of players, this is obvious but more important than that they have stuck by their manager even when things weren't going that well,...

Re: Leinster Under 21 Football
I've said my bit already, so I dont want to get drawn into a massive debate here about this. But I do want to point out this much. Daleamar, you mention the wasteful shooting in the first half from Offaly. As far as I can remember, and I'm absolutely open to correction on this, but Offaly kicked on...

Re: Leinster Under 21 Football
Ahlethimoutwithit...I understand your passion and hurt ,its the same for all of us but the simple fact is it doesn't matter if Mickey harte was the current manager, you win if you don't have the players and the simple fact is the players are not there in either u21 or senior, the county simply cannot...

Re: Leinster Under 21 Football
I would agree with High School Musical, Tactically Offaly werent up to scratch at all. Played a sweeper (Peter Cunningham of all people) in the first half with the breeze, maybe sweeper is a bit much, maybe more of third midfielder but more often than not he was behind his half back line. Not an ide...

Re: Football League Division 3 2014
Longford 1-15 Offaly 1-10 In spite of the result there was some encouraging signs from today's match. We ran out of steam in the last 15 minutes but up to then we played quite well.Peter Cunningham was outstanding kicking 5 points from play. Eoin Carroll played the best I have seen him play for the ...
