Re: Leinster club championships 2017
I think people been very harsh on kk. Cuala have won all their matches by big margins outside of Dublin. They are probably the best club team to come out of Leinster for the last ten years. Cuala vs the limerick champions would make for a great game. I don't think people fully appreciate just how mu...

Re: Daithi and the heartland
How can moving a venue to one end of the county help develop hurling in Offaly? What are people thinking. O Conor park is a perfect venue, birr is not. The cure to offalys woes are not where the senior team plays but how the development squads are ran. The coach education within clubs and clubs atte...

Re: Ballinamere/ Durrow
But why at only one grade do two club come together to form one team when both teams have minor teams coming through as stand alone teams? How many players are losing out? They don't join up at any other grade from u8 to adult. So why 21?

Re: Ballinamere/ Durrow
How is it that Birr and CRC gaels are their own clubs at every grade but brought together at under 21? Surely CRC gaels should be fielding on their own at the B grade and a town the size of Birr should have a huge pick? CRC have had minor teams coming through for a good while now and should not be j...

Re: Leinster club championships 2017
Nothing average about cuala. Very good team that take preparation to levels not seen before at club level. Basically a county team.

Re: Leinster club championships 2017
Cuala are a very well drilled team . I would go with a 10 point victory vs KK. That's based on cuala winning every game outside of Dublin at a canter.

Re: Daithi and the heartland
It not that parent's won't travel to watch offaly play in OCP, it's the fact offaly are so poor that they don't want to watch them play anywhere.

Re: 2018 NHL
Saw james Dempsey against Waterford this year. Offalys best player, excellant short puckouts. Brillant shot stopper. People need to remember a goalkeeper needs options for puckouts to work.

Re: Offaly U14 Hurlers Skillful,Determined and Tough
Laois did quite well. Beat KK. Ran Tipperary very close also. Tipperary won it out in the end.
If offaly first team are in sonny Walsh then I'd fear for them. That's for B teams and the very weak counties like Kerry or wicklow.

Re: Offaly GAA - in Crisis
I'm afraid to say it but the days of dual counties, especially small population counties being successful are over. Cork, Dublin, Galway and maybe Tipperary are the only counties that can do both and be successful. All counties can do both but will probably have success in neither. Offaly days of w...
