Re: Joe hits out at County Board

Back of the net, you're as biased as the next man. I'll tell you why. You spoke of the hurling side of Offaly, and the so called "football side" of Offaly. Well the Offaly Under 21's were hammered by Dublin tonight in hurling and our u-21 championship was won by so called "football" clubs. So where ...

Re: Offaly v Cork, SHC qualifier, 25/6/2011

just the last thing why have offaly to go to parnell park everytime we play Dublin, bad enough going to nowlan park the last few year's
but we never get a home game in the under 21 anymore not saying we would have won if we had a home game, but we would have a better chance if we had them matches ...

Re: Offaly u21 Hurling

lads first of all, wasnt there last nite because of work commitments, but from the few posts here, magner seems to our motm, its hard to believe that he couldnt make the minor PANEL, never mind the team in 2010. this highlights the situation in offaly, its often the case that its not how good you ...

Re: offaly hurlers (great effort)

the view from kilkenny, what they make of our performances:

There has been but fitful discussion of this game, which is a bit odd, since the tie should acquire significance reaching well beyond this summer. If Dublin lose, they are more or less back to square one. Such a result would stack as ...

Re: Offaly Team to face Wexford in Leinster Football Championshi

the biggest problem in this county is the "divide" , im a blue to the core and a proud hurling man, BUT we are at a disadvantage beacause of our geographical location(granted its worse for clubs around us). now, it is an absolute joke that a man can get away with labelling a lad a hurler because hes ...

Re: Offaly Team to face Wexford in Leinster Football Championshi

Last night's defeat for Offaly was biggest margin since Laois beat them 5-11 to 0-4 in Portlaoise on July 6th 1947. im embarased, genuibely believed we would win this one

Re: Offaly u21 Hurling

as the old cliche goes, "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard" Hard work includes being dedicated whilst you are off the training field i.e. dicipline with regards drink, diet to a lesser extent etc. i think this settles this arguement

Re: Offaly u21 Hurling

Moloney is too small for a start I think, Mick Ryan didn't feel the weight of the ball in u21 county final, I have my doubts about gerraghty. Surely brian kelly, adrian hynes, paddy murphy and tom Spain and a couple more ballinamere Gaels lads will be there or there about?

Re: Minor Hurling vs Wexford

here we go again. sure if it was in birr we would win blablabla.... bullsh1t. the difference between now and then is we had a top team then. if offaly were competing, they would have great support and atmosphere in tullamore aswel. also take the recession into account and cost of entrance. thats all ...

Re: Leinster SHC 2011-Dublin v Offaly

5 Clareen lads in the starting 15 last night, is Joe taking the p**s or what.
What a joke.

i'll second that. 3 weeks before the championship, which makes it even worse. some obviously deserve to be there, its quite obvious who's getting in there because of where they are from and those particular ...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurling Club Championship 2011

as the story goes, shamrocks didnt perfrom, and drumcullen had lads crowding around derek molloy for the hour, not giving him an inch? well a rahan man told me that! i would have expected shamrocks to surprise people this year, but this is a huge setback for them. i would expect them to remain ...
