Re: Club football championship
Its Silly to think Rhode or Clara should be Favourites asboth Teams are very Equal and only a kick of a ball will decide the Winner, but saying that Clara beat Rhode by 6 points in last Years semi final

Re: SF Challenge, Offaly vs Laois, tonight in Mountmellick
What is the problem on this forum with Tomo Deehan people talking about his attitude and lifestyle the lad doesnt really drink often and never misses Clara training so just because he does not want to play with Offaly he is a bad guy and making remarks about supermacs is for fools to do and makes ...

Re: Clara vs Edenderry 9/10/11
Well said Magpie, the better footballers dont always win in a final. I cant see Clara throwing it away like Shamrocks did that day. Cruising at half time and really should have been double the lead they had. Then a dribbly goal and a mixture of some lads dropping the heads and poor decisions on the ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Club Championship 2011
As for Rhode vs Clara, even games they may have been in previous years, but these games don't occur in a vacuum. Rhode have been ordinary by their high standards so far, but they've still won pretty much every game comfortably. Clara have much more in them, but there is no evidence whatsoever to ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Club Championship 2011
I'd love to see Clara step up and give Rhode a good game, but they've played six championship games so far this year and with the exception of a five minute spell against Pullough and for twenty odd minutes against Ballycumber, they haven't played well at all. It's a huge ask for them to suddenly ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Club Championship 2011
Maybe its because of Rhode's off the field Problems leading into the Game that Paddy Power is not covering it

Re: new football manager
These Kildare players would walk over hot coals for Kieran McGeeney, just one example, 5 years ago James Kavanagh couldn't get his place on a Ballymore championship team, now he is an all star, that says it all.
James Kavanagh has been on the Kildare Panel since 2004 so it most be some Club Team ...

Re: new football manager
Too many people in Offaly have a negative opinion and pure want to criticize for a Offaly Man to get a fair go at Managing the Senior Football Team and if an outside Man comes in the same people will Question his passion and knowledge for Offaly Football, so maybe we're Lucky that at the end of the ...

Re: Offaly V Monaghan, SFC qualifier, 25/6/2011
Removing themselves or pushed I wonder.
Maybe they just wanted to be able to go to the Brewery Tap without Duignan and the rest of the county on their back.
They spent enough time there before the big games.
Two ego's bigger than the squad. Pity about Deehan, plenty of ability but not a bit of ...

Re: Offaly V Monaghan, SFC qualifier, 25/6/2011
Don't think you can really defend Deehan since he was brought on in the 1st half and was totally non-existent for the rest of the game. I suppose you wanted lads who were playing well before the Wexford game to be dropped in favour of Reynolds/Deehan for no apparent reason. They were both brought ...

Re: Division 1 League Results.
Clara seemingly have done very Little training so far this year and have lost a few lads for the next two Months through injury and Travel so I wouldn't read to much into it being a crisis,id still think whoever wins the Championship will have to beat them to do so

Re: Offaly Team to face Wexford in Leinster Football Championshi
Not a bad Offaly Team really could do with Quinn or Sullivan(left the panel) full Back as Brady was cleaned against Westmeath and just doesn't have the speed but hopefully he plays well,Home advantage should be a good help if strong support turns up I also would have Reynolds playing he has been one ...
