Re: Inter County Hurling Managers Under Pressure
JBM and A. Cunningham are safe enough you'd imagine. If Dublin shift another hammering then G. Cunningham could be under pressure. TJ Ryan and Davy Fitz will be allowed stay, not good for either county. When you look at the talent Clare/Limerick have in comparison to Cork, and the corresponding cham...

Re: Laois v Offaly – Leinster Hurling Quarter Final 7th Ju
I was at John training a u14 team last week and most of it was excellent but two thing that stood out to be over the train was there was very little fun in the training and it was a 5 mins of hand passing, 5 mins of left side 5 mins of right side and its was almost repeat. They was no ground hurlin...

Re: A few thoughts on Galway v Laois
There really wasn't anymore to it than the scoreline. Laois came up against a quality, motiviated team that actually tried from the very first minute to win the game, and the result was Laois getting hurled off the pitch. Hard to ambush a team when they are expecting it, and its doubly hard to ambus...

If Tipp had a couple more sent off, your lot could have nipped that.

Re: Offaly GAA is in Some State
Even a dual county like Offaly can neglect its hurling and coaching tradition, with Butler finding them the county that calls least. http://www.irishexaminer.com/sport/gaa/hurling/interview-paudie-butler-former-national-hurling-coordinator-318391.html Paudie Butler lavishes praise on every hurling ...

As an aside, throwing hurlers is one of the most cowardly actions on the hurling pitch. Right down there with striking someone on the ground and spitting on people. Despicable.

You wouldn't see a Junior B team give up the kind of oceans of space Offaly gave Tipp. And the touch of some of the Offaly players was Junior B standard as well.

Re: NHL Wexford v Offaly 21 february 2014
Absolutely nothing special about Jack Guiney bar his powerful shot. He isn't even the best young forward Wexford has, nor is he within an arses roar of the best young hurler's in the country. Hell he isn't even the best young player named on that Wexford team, Shore and Chin are superior for a start.
