Re: Joe hits out at County Board

I heard Daithi Regan talking about this on Newstalk last night. He was saying it's all to do with money. The County board want to pay the debt on O'Connor Park by putting on as many fixtures as possible and they want to keep the pitch in good nick and looking good when Dublin play Galway there. This...

Clearly Cribben is going to walk, if that post match comment is anything to go by.

Re: Leinster SHC 2011-Dublin v Offaly

Does anyone think the emergence of Dublin can inspire the likes of Offaly, Wexford, Clare, Waterford and Limerick to become competitive again? Would Offaly be in a position in a year or two to take part in a more competitive All Ireland championship like it was in the 1990's before Cody re-establish...

Re: Leinster SHC 2011-Dublin v Offaly

That was some win for Dublin today. Maybe Offaly and others in Leinster will now stop lieing down when they play Kilkenny now.

Re: Offaly vs Waterford NHL Round 6 03/04/2011

Surely though, we should consider ourselves level with Wexford at least, and Kilkenny roughly on a par with Tipp? By that logic we'd be as likely to win as them? Sadly we probably aren't, but it's still an anomaly that illustrates the psychological hold Kilkenny have on us. Good point. If Dublin ca...

Re: Brian Cowen's legacy of failure as Taoiseach

Umm well its either Labour or Sinn Fein id guess, neither is exactly squeaky clean! Everyone knows that lowry is corrupt...well im afraid even if that were true it still isnt good enough, Media Assasinations have happened for the last few hundred years, Charles Stewart Parnell comes to mind. If the...

Re: Offaly v Wexford - NHL 27/03/2011

Excellent, didn't get to see the game. Will RTE show a bit of it later? or will they ignore it like TG4 did in their coverage today. Offaly v Wexford was the most important hurling match with most at stake for both teams that was played today, TG4 should've shown it or at least shown it deferred.

Re: Brian Cowen's legacy of failure as Taoiseach

Who did you vote for?? Interesting you wont tell us yet you seem really interested in who I voted for! None of your business. We're talking about Lowry here because you volunteered to tell us that you would have voted for him. But if you really want to know who I vote for a quick scan through this ...

Re: Brian Cowen's legacy of failure as Taoiseach

Im always about, I generally post about sport so you wont see me on the political forums much. I didnt actually get to vote in the last general election as I was working in Dublin that week and didnt get home in time. Would you have voted for Lowry if you got home in time? Re: Brian Cowen's legacy of failure as Taoiseach

Tribunal report out today confirms Lowry to be a corrupt gombeen b*stard. It is astonishing that Lowry has increased his vote in Tipp North down the years when the dogs in the street knew him to be personally corrupt. Anyone see "backofthenet" about. Are you reading this backofthenet? Did ...

Re: Louth vs Offaly NFL Division 3 Round 4 13/03/2011

Good to see Offaly putting a few results together. 3 games left, at home v Tipp and away to Waterford and Westmeath. Westmeath at Cusack Park possibly the trickiest one?

Re: Brian Cowen's legacy of failure as Taoiseach

You should read all of a persons post before talking crap. I said most likely voting for Michael Lowry, Im entitled to vote for whoever I want and the reason I want to vote for him is that he stuck with the government when they made the correct but tough decisions over the last two years. I like th...

Re: Brian Cowen's legacy of failure as Taoiseach

Anyway. The GE is over and it does look like FF have declined to a point where they will find it almost impossible to return to the days when they were the largest political party/movement in the country. However civil war politics isn't over quite yet. If Enda Kenny were to pick up the phone and of...
