Re: Senior B Hurling 2019

Two chaps with the same name. (I think they are cousins.) To distinguish them, they use the townlands where they hail from. Carrickshock did the same when they had two Richie Powers. I would echo what you say about Coughlan at full back, one thing you might clarify POTH Tommy Walsh named at full ba...

I would echo what you say about Coughlan at full back, one thing you might clarify POTH Tommy Walsh named at full back and Tommy Walsh named at full forward with the village/ mountgale written in brackets, do Tullaroan draw players from other clubs or what’s the story do you know.

Re: Byrne v Duignan

So having listened to and read articles from both parties who are people leaning towards now, personally I would like to see change. In the past few years our county board seem to have been in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons rather than one of our teams actually winning something or progress...

Re: Additions to County panels Football and Hurling

All tried and tested before , Dalton and Pender in their 30’s Hanlon was in many times before. We have good lads playing now so for me I would rather see younger lads coming in for the O Byrne cup for experience

Re: Senior B Hurling 2019

Tullaroan 2-25 SK 2-13 not to be, score board bit harsh at the end but the better team won. Few good showings from SK, Coughlan at full back was decent, Carroll got Some moves scores. Hynes was for me SK best player winning ball and taking some great scores. Tullaroan got a soft goal in the second h...

Re: Byrne v Duignan

They've started from scratch but there are actually 3 underage hurling teams in Edenderry in 2019 & you'd have to imagine that should grow to at least 4-5 next year. Someone suggested here a while back that this was done in order to get money but refused to clarify the comment. I've never heard of ...

Re: Byrne v Duignan

If you look at the county board management committee for 2019. Tommy Byrne (Gracefield-Dual) Chairperson Niall Gleeson (Kilcormac/Killoughey-Dual) Vice Chairperson Pat Horan (St Rynagh’s Hurling-Hurling) Secretary Pauric Pierce (Raheen-Football) Assistant Secretary (fixtures) Jimmy Hogan (Birr-Dual...

Re: Byrne v Duignan

There’s 88 kids in St Broghan’s NS Bracknagh. Edenderry has 5 schools. 57 200 620 396 110 —— 1383 That’s just primary schools. Both genders accounted for, but they should be in rough proportion. 1383:88 15.72:1 So essentially 16:1 Edenderry has a population of 8,813. The second biggest town in Offa...

Re: Byrne v Duignan

When you break down some of the figures from other posters here it actually scandalous that Clareen can field 3 teams and a town the size of Edenderry let hurling go over the past 5 years! I’ve said it before and il say it again as long as there is a football minded committee with no hurling represe...
