Re: Meeting In Tullamore

Very good post Bracknagh. The one very positive for me in all of this is there has not been one word from any of the players, Galway are in turmoil, Clare players acting up. I never had much time for the county board but at this moment in time things seem to be heading in some sort of positive direc...

Re: Meeting In Tullamore

What happens if another rival “high powered” group emerges in conflict with this group? Or an even higher powered cabal comes into play? All sorts of explosive action would result then. Agreed that is why I have organised an ‘extremely higher powered’ group of people to have a meeting next week and...

Re: Newspaper Articles and other media bits

Maybe at adult level, but if there wasn't a will to play the game by adults members of the club you can't force a club to force members to play a sport. What I was referring to was the appointment of a GPO. Which is what is needed most also in Tullamore, Birr at least to start with. Also, pretty su...

Re: Next Offaly Senior Hurling Manager

I think we could do a lot worse than Joe Quaid, a journey man?..Ime not totally up to speed with all his various jobs but my main memory of him in management is his latest job with Westmeath prior to that Kildare and Limerick camogie some time back, that's hardly a journey man managerial wise, Offa...

Re: Next Offaly Senior Hurling Manager

He’s becoming a journey man going around the midlands, he wouldn’t be my choice at all. Do we build a fresh team with a fresh faced manager or do we go down the road of splashing the cash on a Davy type manager. We have tried managers with little or no experience before so I’m inclined to go with sp...

Re: Leinster Under 20 Hurling Championship

Beaten by a well drilled Wexford team, sweeper in the first half had us all over the place. An awful lot of pressure was on these young lads today with the massive crowd that turned up. Please god the set stays in place and we use today as a learning curve. Well done on this year, plenty to look for...

Re: Offaly v Leix Round 3 Qualifier

One thing that was disappointing was the easy frees Niall missed especially when we have such a very good dead ball taker in Paddy. His kick outs were very accurate and he slotted over 3 sweet frees. Niall is not a free taker and really should have left them for Paddy. Any word on the attendance num...
