Re: U21 Championship
Only one team in Ireland have ever beaten them in a final. Anyone care to have a guess who it was?
Tullamore beat them in the U-16 League final in 2007.

Tullamore beat Ballinamere/Durrow/Clara/Ballycumber/Tubber/Pullough/Doon this morning by a point.

Re: Offaly Senior Hurling Management 2012
With the manager and the trainer from outside of the county, I persume the main role of the selectors is to bring their local knowledge and inside track on players. How active would both Paudge and Mark be in the club scene or county scene in recent times? Are they involved in any underage teams, d...

Re: Offaly Senior Football Club Championship 2011
Is his 60 day sanction not in relation to hurling only? When players fill out those forms they are for sanctions for specific hurling or football clubs in the States. The Tipperary club he transferred to over there are a hurling only team as far as I know. If he didn't fill get a sanction to play wi...

Re: Offaly selection committee confirmed - Thoughts?
Finally, without getting into too much detail could someone please post up some information regarding the Committee members GAA history and maybe give some of us a better idea as to why they have been appointed to these very important positions? P.S. I'm clearly not looking for a detailed history on...

Re: Offaly selection committee confirmed - Thoughts?
What sort of selection criteria should they lean towards. a - A person with progressive views on coaching, tactics and preparation. b - A great servant to the county in his day, has the medals to prove it and been given the Offaly job would be a fitting tribute for past services I assume you know t...

Re: Offaly selection committee confirmed - Thoughts?
The Offaly county board has finalised the committees that will recommend the county's next hurling and football managers. The men charged with the task of finding Joe Dooley's successor as hurling boss are Finbarr Spain (Birr), Jim Troy (Lusmagh), Ciaran McDonald (Brosna Gaels) and Eamon Phelan (Ki...

Re: Tullamore in a little bit of bother?
My point is that they could have sacrificed this summer to enjoy themselves in NZ and worry about football for their respective colleges and for Offaly when they come home. I have never noticed the likes of the Whelehans, Finbar Cullen or Niall McNamee sacrificing a summer to enjoy themselves and t...

Re: Tullamore in a little bit of bother?
Cant beleive the two lads are giving up their travelling and time in NZ to come back a play a few meaningless games! Since when did Offaly Senior Club Football matches become meaningless ? Anyway, Tullamore are still in with a right shout of making the quarters. If they win 2 of the last 3 matches ...

Players and Payment
Having watched the Late Late Show interviews with the various unemployed stars of the GAA recently I am now fully convinced that our organisation is failing to look after the top players in the game. Every years millions of people attend inter-county GAA matches. Everyone from the programme sellers ...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurling Club Championship 2011
No Frontiers Firstly, Brilliant! A pity there are no double-headers, for which we have Mick Sheridan to thank. Secondly, I have to agree with you on this. With the price of double headers down, the Tullamore vs Killoughey and Coolderry vs Kinnitty games could have provided a relatively exciting kic...
