Re: OFFALY V CAVAN 06/02/2011
Id have to say I think its a very weak team. Pender, Dalton, Bernard Allen are not good enough for this level. They will do ok at club level but ive seen Pender get roasted in a few club games, Allen marked out of it by any of the top teams they played and Dalton for me just hasnt the ability ...

Re: O'Byrne Cup 2011
I'll tell you why they are so far behind.
1) Because they are wasting there time with all this bloody gym training thinking it will make them. All those Dublin players have been out on a pitch doing their own running and getting in plenty of ball work. The Offaly lads are told to go to the gym and ...

Hope no-one minds if i put in my two sense here as i have'nt posted in a long while so i'll keep this short and sweet.

Re: Offaly team for NUIG walsh cup
Townman I know I may have come across as very critical and hard on that team but I am not criticising the players for not being good enough, I am criticising the management for picking these lads. They are not good enough. Mulrooney, Waters, Healions, Birmingham, and Wynne are not up to it at all ...

Re: Offaly team for NUIG walsh cup
Really baffled by that team. I sincerely hope that is not the second best team we have in the county. Some lads on that team are way out of their depth.
waters may be fast but jesus he barely made the Tullamore team at half forward and now Dooley sees him as potentially a great corner back. He is ...

Re: Immigration of club players
Shamrocks have been missing Stephen Delaney and Stephen Dunne. Both now in Australia.
Delaney an excellent hurler when committed to training would easily have walked onto a county team if he had the interest. That interest was not there and often not there for the club either but still he was a ...

Re: Senior Hurling Championship 2011 Predictions
Well I heard Jimmy Conway hurled very well in trial games recently but has not been called back in. I really question the use of these trials. For starters its in terrible conditions at a time of year that players will be rusty enough which is pointless really and more importantly it comes down to ...

Re: Rumour Mill
Hold on there now Townman, with all due respect I never mentioned how good or not he was. I was purely clearing up this rumour rubbish trash talk.
But now that you said it, no he's no gooch but he is one of the best forwards in the county, behind Niall Mac. The game you speak of against Dublin ...
