Re: Offaly Senior Hurling Management 2012

Excuse my ignorance but what are Francis Fordes credentials?

Also did the county board win the euromillions in order for us to afford Grady. Someone mentioned 100k, i would say double that and you would be closer to the figure

Re: Junior A Football

K/K have some fine footballers and if they had any interest in it could be a serious intermediate team or even play senior. Very big and strong physically. They have available to them Currams, Mahon and Healion all big strong fit lads who could play for any senior football club. But it all depends o...

Re: Junior A Football

Finally the long wait is over and the real championship is about to start. The phony war and mind games of the league are over and championship football reckons. Perennial bridesmaids Daingean will be looking to get over the line this year but will face stiff competition from Clara, K/K, Tullamore a...

Re: Lets start playing the club championships again

The KK football championship is on quite late this year compared to normal. Most clubs in KK also have a football team. They have a senior, intermediate and junior championship. Last year St Martins won it beating the reigning champions The Village in the final. The KK footballers won the first rou...

Re: Lets start playing the club championships again

The whole idea of the master fixture list was that the club players were compensated for the fact that they were being held up by the inter-county with the fact that they knew exactly when they were going to play. This allowed them gear their training correctly, play out the league and book holiday...

Re: Dublin Fans

Soccer has a habit of attracting scumbags, always did. Not if you paid me would I go near that Aviva to watch a match these days. Plenty of decent people go to watch the Ireland games as well so don't get me wrong but an alarming amount of thugs go as well. Yes quite a number of scumbags on that so...

Re: offaly hurlers (great effort)

I think ye are getting abit carried away. What we saw on Sunday was a very ordinary Dublin team that were put to the pin of their collar by a battling Offaly side missing half a team. Dublin had 2 or 3 extra gears at any stage if they were needed. Offaly only really came into in the first half becau...

Re: offaly hurlers (great effort)

Have to disagree with ye lads. I was happy with the effort that the lads on the field put in.

But where has Offaly hurling sunk to when we are happy and back slapping each other for a moral victory against an average Dublin side. We have never sunk so low in 35 years

Re: Offaly vs Wexford LSFC 28/05/2011

I think i was lucky enough not to be able to see the match in the end. Waited up to watch the Saturday Game and the f**kers never even mentioned it or showed a highlight. Really shows where we lie in the national psyche

Re: Offaly vs Wexford LSFC 28/05/2011

As badly stuck as I am, i would prefer watching the teletext changing instead of listening to Gerry "its a goal, its a pint, no its wide" Russell.

It prob wont be on rte.ie and thats a great shame because there is strong Offaly support in the lower Amazon region tribes

Re: Man in Offaly jersey

He also seems to be at every other match in the country. I swear he does be up in the Hill for the AI quarters and semis. Also he must be at nealy every Leinster championship game when Offaly aren't playing. Seems like a right character alright. Does he live in town

Man in Offaly jersey

Does anyone know who the man with the Offaly jersey is that was at the two matches in Portlaoise today. I suspect that this man is the same man that stands on the Hill in Croker during matches not featuring any Offaly teams. He also seems to be in OCP for any championship match. He always has the Of...
