Re: Corrigan calls for Parish Teams
Clonmore for me is the perfect example of why this proposal makes no sense whatsoever. People in that area put in a huge effort to get to the point whereby they had their own club, and then they worked hard to get to intermediate standard from there, all because they're proud of their own community...

Re: Corrigan calls for Parish Teams
Does he honestly think that all those Ballyfore lads will happily go back playing for an Edenderry team now? Or be taken back for that matter?? As Roy Keane once said in a famous RTE interview after Saipan "take me back, Take me back" This parish rule props up on this forum at least once ...

Re: Favourite club ground
Clonmore is probably the worst pitch in the county in terms of facilites and the quality of the pitch. But it is a bit like English soccer teams going over to play a Turkish team like Galatasary - welcome to hell, as the local support is usually fairly vocal.

Re: Favourite club ground
great reviews
not really looking for what pitches are the best in terms of facilities and surface but looking for pitches you like beacuse of the crowd or the atmosphere of the place etc.

Some hill on that pitch. Usually the wind blows down the hill so you have the wind and the hill advantage for one half and a pure nightmare for the other half.

Re: Favourite club ground
I like red.
Another place that always generates abit of a laugh is Bracknagh because no matter how many times you go down to play a match there half the team will always get lost (good damn Bracknagh bypass!!)

Favourite club ground
Lads Its back to that time of the year again when we're back playing matches and travelling around the county to far flung corners. Obviously apart from your home ground what other club grounds would you consider to be your favourite not just in terms of quality of the pitch or facilites etc. but fo...

Re: Endless summer nights ahead in Offaly
I think we have too much quantity and not enough quality in the group stages. As we saw last year many of the latter group stage games had no meaning whatsoever as the groups were decided after the first few rounds. 4 teams going through from each group is too much. We should be looking at reforming...

Lets hold off to the league before we start writing off the year and remember that the standard in leinster is terrible ...

Re: Club Championship Draw
Best of luck to the Ballyfore lads this year. They have been struggling along with the same few lads for the last few years. They haven't had much coming through from under age but they still stuck at it. Whatever they lacked in skill they made up for in effort and belief. Hopefully they'll win some...

Re: Rhode V Kilmacud
I think i am going to chance a few pound on a draw at 7/1. There have been some amount of draws in this years club championships especially in Provincial finals. With the weather to be dry and the ground hard it should suit the likes of niall mac and anton to keep rhode moving. Lets hope rhodes back...
