Re: Rhode in Leinster

hard luck to Rhode last sunday, put you have to take your chances, the pen miss was vital 1 point behind at half time with Ger Brennan gone, instead miss the pen Vincents went up the field and scored 5 points in it game over, as for Niall not taking penalties he used to, but he also has missed a few...

Re: Offaly hurling manager??

I hope every efford is made to get both those guys back on board .i think the team should be built around them .E Murphy leading the defence from full back. E Murphy was at his peak in the '80s for Beverly Hills Cop when he was quick on his feet and delivered some decent shots. He was carrying a bi...

Re: Hurling Team of Year 2016 & County Panel Prospects

[quote="greenairfield"]Townman we have colin egan and joe bergin so your point is totally irrelevant!!! We are on about taking a short puck out or putting it in a players hand 60 yards away, all other county keepers can do it he cant!! Dempsey wouldn't make any of the top teams in the coun...

Re: Hurling Team of Year 2016 & County Panel Prospects

Madness lads James Dempsey is one of the top keepers in the country. its not his fault offaly don't have a target or two to hit his puck outs to. we don't have a Gary Hanniffy or Johnny Dooley or Troy to hit puck outs to during games, the one thing offaly are lacking over the years are hurlers who a...

Re: Hurling Team of Year 2016 & County Panel Prospects

Townman I be worried about C Kiely at full back but all those are good to be there ,now pick the 15 subs . i have seen Kiely win minor championships in offaly at fullback, i think they should give him a few years to grown into that poistion. my 15 subs are, 16 C.Clancy 17. B.Leonard 18, D.Shortt 19...

Re: Rhode in Leinster

good win for Rhode today, good hard game with Rhode letting Simonstown Gaels back in it late in the game, Niall Mc kicked some lovely scores, Shane O'Sullivan at fulback was good, Anto also had a good game. i wonder was history made today with Colm O'Rourke and his Son Shane both sent off in the gam...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling C'ship 2016

i think Stephen Quirke was a big lost Rynaghs had no one to get the ball and go at Oularts backs like he does. also Gary Connelly was missed around the middle but as you say oulart were missing Rossiter who is a top player. anyway Rynaghs can learn from this and if they get another crack at it in 20...

Oulart 2-13 Rynaghs 0-9 in fairness Missing Gary Connelly, Stephen Quirke, and Camon, never going to get a win down there without their fullhand.

Re: Hurling Team of Year 2016 & County Panel Prospects

Re: Offaly Club Hurling C'ship 2016

[quote="Toxicity234"]Congrat's to St. Rynaghs. Really outstanding this year. Aidian Tracey was outstanding in the middle of defence. He held his position and let everyone else do the hurling. Outstanding discipline for a very good player. He discipline lets The likes of Ben Connelly expres...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling C'ship 2016

mattie Maloney and Niall Wynne will struggle to scrap for ball also and are not top notch forwards. i can also see Emmett Nolan going out centre forward on Aidan Tracey. Ben Connelly is a fine hurler but he will have his work cut out if Hanniffy has a good day, midfield is 50/50 Barry Whelehan is ge...

its the short passing and running game that have lost Rynaghs the last few county finals. Birr by 3 points for me.
