Re: First indication of football panel for 2009
There are 2 lads on that list who should never be let wear the Offaly Jersey again. When laois hammered us in the qualifiers in '05 they were subs and didn't even bother to show up for the match.

Re: Richie Connor set to become new manager
I tend to agree with you LS, clive murphy did okay on casey but even though he didnt slip him much he still handled an awful lot of ball. I yhink oceans 15 is being a bit harsh on willie mulhall, he was clearly not fit to play and it was only going to be natural for him to want to represent his clu...

Re: Richie Connor set to become new manager
I'd be slow to blame Connor for Walsh Island's tactics yesterday. They have some very good players, but they're carrying a lot of weaker lads as well - it stands to reason that the game plan would be relatively straightforward and geared towards maximising their strong points. They didn't have game...

Re: intermediate football champ
Although I havn't seen Doon yet I think Croghan will win it. Walsh Island think they are a cross between Dublin & Real Madrid or someone like that, any team who has a stereo blaring in the dressing room before the game I would be worried about.

Re: tullamore
However this frequently resulted in the park being cut up after heavy rain. In order to address this Tullamore GAA introduced a policy of only allowing teams warm up there after a request was received from the club secretary prior to match day. That is pure dung. Whether Ferbane looked for permissi...

Re: tullamore
That loss obviously hurt Tullamore and there was a bit of pettiness for the Ferbane-Rhode game when Tullamore let Rhode warm up in O'Brien park while Ferbane had to warm up on the little grassy area behind the goals at the town end. I heard about this all right. What childish behaviour. A bit like ...

Re: Players that never filled their potential
Anyone know any players they think never made it with serious potential under-age?? I'd have to go with Eoin Marsden.. that lad basically won a minor for tullamore on his own a few years ago even though he was only 16.. Adrian Cahill obviously in the hurlin aswell. I wouldn't agree Marsden won the ...

Re: Tullamore
Get this. I heard before that O' Connor park is now owned by the county board but the ownership of the site will transfer to... Tullamore G.A.A. club in 50 years time! Controversial! Is this complete aural diarrhoea or is there any semblance of truth :?: When the County Board took over the running ...

Re: Offaly vs Clare in 1998 - When the referee blew it
When the referee blew it Offaly supporters took to the field and refused to move for an hour and a half, causing the All-Ireland under-21 B final between Kerry and Kildare to be abandoned. This is the real reason Offaly Fans protested. Allowing Kerry & Kildare to hurl in Croke park !!! :l...

Tullamore can't complain with Catch. He made sure they won the County Final in 2000.
