buried underneath a sea of plastic shamrocks and inflatable green hammers there are a few genuine supporters lurking The typical international soccer supporter may not have cottonned on to the myriad of possibilities offerred by inflatables... how about a plastic fish??? a red-snapper perhaps, a mu...

new new shirt

Long time since i posted i know... but summer's on its way, ground might firm up any month soon... bit more zip in the sliotar... but about the shirt... i've often thought that a replica vintage shirt would sell well - always thought the '72 football jerseys were a very sale-able classic... simple g...

15 to 10

A great result to kick off the year!
Any reports on the game? Were the 'big-guns' brought back in?

Meath seemed to see off a determined Dublin challenge, so the final would appear to be a tough proposition... but great prep for the championship.

Yeah, hard not to smile - but does nobody feel that the content, recorded accurately or not, smacks of condescention... where this maaaad Offaly place produces hurlers reared on drink, with a collective attitude that only just falls short of totat tweeness. A few 'begorrahs' & 'where'd i leave d...

Nah, Scobie would have to be the ref.

In the last episode he didn't go ten minutes without having a w*nk :)

I know that Croker was used for athletics at one stage... american football of course... u2 concerts are hardly a sport... there was de boxin'... oh, and rounders (and don't dare anyony say that rounders is the GAA's version of cricket!) I just think its unfortunate that so many people seem to get t...

Hocker, you could be missing out on your true vocation. That was pure class - truth IS funnier than fiction!
You could be writing up the match reports instead of LS, and what a joy that would be (no disrespect, LS) !
Thouroughly enjoyed your efforts there. Bring on more!!!

Would've thought the glass is more than half full. Any self-respecting county would prefer to test themselves against the best teams in the country. My opinion would be that there is so much to learn from playing against good teams - where there's hard work to be done all over the pitch, against tig...

Not me y'r'onor, that was the right honourable Mr Barracuda. But grateful for the free article none the less :)

And in response to An Bearcán Bearaigh's last comment, I can only say that
yes the Fleury story was of interest, but it reeks of misty eyed folklore.

Treasurer, thank you for posting up the article. I found it partularly uninspiring, unimaginative and forgettable. Nothing new, and little intelligent insight into the background of the various stories. PJ's hardly the only person on the planet to think GoldenBalls is an idiot. I'm thankful I didn't...

(1) Rigorous auditing of club and county accounts to make sure that money isn't being leaked into surreptitious paying of players and managers. Based on the Roscommon example, it might be no bad thing to do anyway to make sure counties aren't living beyond their means. You had the inside track ther...
