Re: Offaly Under 16

Excellent result against a very strong Kildare team, the Management team at this level are working miracles and seem to have the full backing of the board so credit to all involved for the excellent work that is being put in both on and off the pitch They'll meet Roscommon again in the final after t...

Re: Change of perspective on CB

You now know how frustrating for CB it must be to see Niall Mc stating that they got "no support" from the top also when there is 120k spent on gear/physio etc. It also is frustrating for people who are helping out with clubs, and working hard to develop players in such a toxic environmen...

Change of perspective on CB

You know its funny i started a thread just recently stating how the county board aren't capable of coming up with ideas or structures to bring Offaly gaa Forward and then i run across this on the Edenderry Website with regards to underage hurling -----------------------------------------------------...

CB wouldn't have thought of this

I hate to flog a a dead issue here but below is an article from the Roscommon GAA website detailing how they came up with the idea (while clearing up some misinformation as well) of providing high calibre transport for their teams while at the same time making money that can be pumped into the the r...

Re: Brian Carroll wants more investment in training faciliti

Topic title edited, no need to personalise the subject. all Fair point, wasn't trying to, i'm not trying to give the board a hard time here i just think Carroll hit the nail on the head when he said that the players are always asking as individuals and as a team how they can improve themselves yet ...

Re:

Neither the county footballers or hurlers HAD to go outside the county to train, the management teams DECIDED to bring them, that was a CHOICE they made despiteBanagher, Clara and Ballinamere having fine facilities a and lighting which are available. Our ladies footballets won an All Ireland title ...

Brian Carroll wants more investment in training facilities

Brian Carroll fears Offaly soon won't be able to field inter-county teams if the county board doesn't start investing in training facilities and its underage structures. Just like their football counterparts, the Offaly hurlers have had to travel outside the county to train in the lead-up to this we...

Re: One good group not enough

Yet again, lads able to turn a positive into a negative, Well done Truth!! You are a true modern Offalyman! Not trying to be negative believe me, i hate it too when people use cop out excuses like no talent, bad crop, what can you do, that mindset drives me up the wall quite frankly but i'm just be...

Re: One good group not enough

Football that is and don't forget the hurlers only stayed in Division 1B via a relegation promotion playoff and its not like there is an abundance of talent coming from the minor ranks in hurling is there? Unless the county board decide to sit down and come up with a workable step by step developmen...

Re: One good group not enough

I've been doing some thinking on this recently and given the promise that the minors have shown this year in football it is encouraging but long term down the line with the lack of a proper structure in place having one good minor team just isn't going to be enough to get us out of the mire we are ...

Re: Offaly v Longford

There's a good few rotten Apples in the county board and have been there for many years its time for a sweep out at the top of offaly GAA , no point in blaming players they are doing their best, for the love of god can the county board members not see themselfs how they are killing the hurling and f...

Re: Offaly v Longford

i see where Emmett McDonnell is also talking today about the lack of pitches for the footballers to train on and have to wait for the laois hurlers to finish their training in heywood very Embarrassed for a county like offaly, the hurlers have had the same problem, it seems both mangers are not hap...
