Re: The bigger picture (Hurling and football)
Now if only they could come up with something similer for the footballers!!! Definitely fair play to the CB for realising there is a problem and actually trying to do something about it, however the footballers have completely different issues. The standard of footballer preparation up to age eight...

Re: The bigger picture (Hurling and football)
With all of the doom and gloom going around at the moment i was delighted to read in one of the sunday newspapers (can't remember which one) that there will be a new hurling development programme put in place based off the succsessful templete that Killkenny employed over the past ten years which br...

Re: The bigger picture (Hurling and football)
Have to agree with most of what you say JB but i think there is hope in terms of the minor footballers coming through. Now people will say hang on we got trounced by Kildare and yes that was a dissapointing performance but i think in the long run this bunch of players will start to take Offaly in th...

Re: Minor Hurling Farce
Have to agree with you 100% O F, last thing i'm going to say on the matter is that that excuse has been used by the armchair fans to not turn up for games and past board members as an excuse not to spend money on underage development. ( By the way i do respect the dedication and loyalty to the count...

Re: Offaly vs Westmeath NFL 10/04/2011
yeah i'd actually agree with you magpie i would be worried that Cribben is stumbling his way around a little bit in terms of finding the right team, his tactical dicisions have been baffleing at times. You get the feeling listening to his interviews on midlands that he doesn't know what the next ste...

Re: Offaly vs Westmeath NFL 10/04/2011
I certainly wouldn't be as pessimistic as some peaple on this site, i think the manager is still trying to find his best 15 and if you take into account that there are a number of players coming back from injury and that this team is still a work in progress then there is scope for optimisim. I thin...

Re: O'Byrne Cup 2011
just like to jump in here real quick lads, have to agree with lone shark, i would rather see the O' Byrne cup sacraficed to try out new lads and different combinations than to try and win the thing which (and let's be honest here) won't mean a whole lot come the end of the season in terms of progres...
