Regarding PJ Ward starting at the weekend - a player on the panel told me that he attended only one training session leading up to the game and was an automatic starter last weekend - the kind of going on yead see at Junior C level - no offence to anyone here intended!!

Heard (pub talk) that the panel (well, most of them) met up at the weekend in Dublin where a meeting was held and a few topics were discussed... This led to the mother and father of all drinking sessions - surprise surprise. Ara, sure they deserve the auld session too i suppose. Anyone else hear any...

You can add Doon to the collection of areas where this fixture brings local rivalry to boiling point.

A number of years back, the Offaly Jersey was set on fire in the village of Ballinahown after one of these fixtures.
