Re: RTE NO SHOW.

They did the same thing with the '82 team as well. They came in on it late, the delay being a couple of meaningless interviews.

Re: Brian Whelahan to run for Fine Gael

BnMn - I hope you got a chance to get your hands on a John Bracken election poster before it's too late. They're like those Cadbury's Creme Eggs - they come out every once in a while then they disappear for ages

Re: Job Application: Managerial position available

Just be careful what website you use to apply for the job. I heard on the radio this evening that some bogus job websites are looking for things like your PPS number and your mother's maiden name, then stealing your identity. 8)

Re: Richie Steps Down

We're coming across a bit like a poor man's Cork with this dispute. I hope whoever takes charge manages to get some decent performances out of this lot. There's only so many times you can blame the manager/county board. Once a team crosses the white line onto the pitch, it's up to them to perform. S...

Re: New Jerseys Please - A call to all Fans

I'm sorry but I can't stand txtpk on forums. We all have full keyboards under our fingertips so there is no excuse for what he/she posted. It would not have taken much more effort for he/she to have written their post in proper English so that people could understand his/her point. Many forums have ...

Re: 1/2 A MILLION DOWN THE DRAIN

They should have just got some of the little scangers who live in the streets around Croke Park to source some illegal bangers left over from Halloween and get them to set them off. Much cheaper IMHO.

Re: GPA and Cork Hurlers

Yes. I've mixed feelings on the GPA. They have done good work in that it helped give intercounty players better conditions but they are treading a fine line. It's become too much of a vehicle for Cusack, O'Hailpin et al. Should be interesting <gets popcorn>

Re: New Jerseys Please - A call to all Fans

Hmmm. Can't say I'm mad about it. I thought the Carroll's logo would be a bit more tastefully done. The whole package is too busy for my liking. Too many stripes/logos

Re: New Jerseys Please - A call to all Fans

I haven't seen the new jersey yet but I could see the logo looking well on the shirt. As an aside, I'd like to see better merchandise - nicer polo shirts/t-shirts/jackets. That kind of thing.

Re: BIFFO's - leaders of the free world

Maybe Biden (who's a catholic) has a BIFFO parish priest or something. Or perhaps he eats Carroll's Cuisine. Or sits beside someone who once shopped in Tullamore.

Re: New Jerseys Please - A call to all Fans

I wonder has any other company come to the county board looking to sponsor the team? Has the county board ever looked beyond Carrolls?

Perhaps the fact that Offaly hasn't done so well in either code means they're not going to get the big money.
