Re: County senior football championship
Good to see Gracefield stay up senior, offaly football need Gracefield to be strong again they always gave good players to winning offaly teams.
am i right in saying they are the only club to win the junior,1959 inter,1960 and senior 1961 plus won the first leinster club title for offaly.

Re: Hurling All Stars Joke
I smiled when I read that they only discovered the All-stars were a farce in Birr in 1993 (no offence, Leinsterman)! Shure we knew in Lusmagh long, long before that what a joke the whole thing was.

Re: Hurling All Stars Joke
Joe Bergin...lads are ye serious?? Okay there are some on the list that are doubtful at best, ollie canning is certainly one but he is retiring and i think there is a general concensus out there that he was one of the best corner backs over the last decade or so.

Re: County senior hurling championship
well what they should do for a three year term open draw and every game is a knock out like as Bracknaghboy said i didn't
do any harm in the 80s when we were winning hurling and football all irelands. that would cut out the dead rubber group games
and every game would be like a final plus more ...

Re: County senior hurling championship
I think a lot of the problems with Birr senior team over the last two year's is that theres a lot of player's with county and leinster club medals
and they won them as young player's when Birr were at there peak. But when the likes of johnny p and joe Eritty and Sid, gary cahill, Declan Pilkington ...
