Re: Another Disappointing Defeat Today
As reguards Brendan Murphy, maybe not the starting 15 but definitely he should come back on to the panel.
The answer to your question about the frees and 65's is simply..too many!

Re: Another Disappointing Defeat Today
I'm not sure how long each player is out for and I'm not even sure some of the players I'm about to name are injured but definitely to come back will be James Rigney, David Kenny, Paul Cleary, Joe Brady, Derek Molloy and Brendan Murphy. With Rigney, Kenny and Cleary back the Offaly defence will defi...

Re: Another Disappointing Defeat Today
Wouldn't worry too much about today, will be a totally different story come Championship time. Offaly are missing a lorry load of players, most of whom should be in the starting 15 against Dublin in May. Having said that, Offaly do have an awful lot of work to do. They don't look fit enough or sharp...

Re: NHL Round 3 Offaly V Dublin 06/03/2011
Dooley has faith 04 March 2011 Offaly manager Joe Dooley knows that his side face a tough task against Dublin on Sunday, but the former All-Ireland winner believes that an upset could be on the cards. The Faithful manager is pinning his hopes on home advantage to play its part on Sunday against a Du...

Limerick 1-12 Offaly 2-10 NFL 27/02/2011
An injury time Ken Casey goal helped us to a 2-10 - 1-12 win over Limerick in Newcastlewest today. Great win in what was a must win game if we were to keep our promotion hopes alive. Hopefully we can kick on from here now and gain another 2 points on the road in Drogheda against Louth in two weeks t...

Re: Division 1 League Results.
Ballycumber 1-8 - 0-8 Gracefield. (My calculations)
Not a great game with an early Ballycumber goal being the difference. Most scores coming from placed balls, with Colm Quinn for Ballycumber and the ever-present Kieran McEvoy from Gracefield.

Re: Double header in O'Connor Park this Sunday
Looking at that Galway team, I find no reason why Offaly can't beat them tomorrow and get their first league points on the board for 2011. The only thing I would say is Offaly will have to keep the free count down and not give away silly frees because Ger Farragher will make no mistake from a dead b...

Re: Double header in O'Connor Park this Sunday
Just on the games themselves lads, bad news for Offaly hurlers as James Rigney has been ruled out for at least 8 weeks with a broken hand he sustained against Cork last Sunday which will rule him out for most of the league, if not all. Also, the Offaly hurling team has been named for Sunday's game w...
