Re: Offaly vs Clare - 2015 Senior Hurling Qualifier R1

Someone on the ClareHurlersForum was moved to post Anyone notice that Offaly only did a 12 minute warm up! Seems strange at this level and another replied Only got into the ground after 6.30 for some reason. Not sure if intentional or traffic delay. Anyone know where were they? They appeared to be ...

Plain, I am sure you have done it before, but could you list all Fitzgibbon cup winners from Offaly (and Sigerson if you don't mind) or direct us to a link??

Re: Rhode in Leinster - 2014

I think Bracknagh boy summed the game up pretty well. With the game plan Rhode adopted they had to be very economical with their possession. Unfortunately the basic passing let them down. I think 3 or 4 simple passes in first half went over lads heads and out over sideline. It was a killer to see a...

Re: Offaly Club Teams of the Year

Their defence was leaky as hell against Ballycommon I believe you meant to say their defence was as leaky as hell against Ballinagar. While this maybe true, that game was over after 10 mins. If Brennan and D Mangan hadn't been injured throughout the later part of the season I would have had them in...

Re: Kilcormac-Killoughey in Leinster - 2014

Just had a look at the Ballyhale team sheet for the game against Kilmacud and I have to feel KK don't have a hope. I have been saying the last few years that if you want to beat KK you have to hit low fast ball at the full back and run hard at heart of their half back line every chance you get. Ball...

Unless Pat Flanagan is taking over from Jim McGuiness, its safe to say he will be the new Offaly manager.

Re: Gavin gets replay gig

Well done and good luck! Was watching the first game again last night and must say that I thought Barry Kelly was absolutely excellent (as I did from my seat in the stand in real time) and what a game as well. If Tipperary take their goal chances the next day they could win by 9 or (ironically) 10!

Re: Matt Connor The Greatest GAA Footballer of all time?

For me, Matt Connor is the greatest of all time. He is the top scoring inter county Gaelic footballer of all time with 38 - 383 between league and championship. This statistic alone is enough for me, while keeping in mind that football is not all about scoring. Combine this with 3 All-Stars, 1 All I...
