Shamrocks or Ballycumber!!

Shamrocks or Ballycumber for me!! Whichever of them gets to the final has my best wishes. It would be great for either club to win a title. Each club has fine young prospects and it would give those young lads confidence also. Tullamore have a great young squad and they'll be around for a good few y...

Yeah it was amazing to see the crowd rush the gates after Edenderry and Rhode finished. It seemed like there were a lot of "Once A Year" supporters who couldn't bear to stay for even a few minutes of Clara and Shamrocks. That Edenderry/Rhode rivalry is some crowd-puller. Shamrocks look ver...

I agree with Lone Shark that the GAA should cater more for social games. Sean Kelly also made some such statement a few years ago! I'm in my 40's but I'd love to tog out for a Junior Z team just for the craic. I'd even give hurling a lash if there were teams of a low enough standard. I'd be prepared...

I was down there on the Wednesday Galway Plate day this year and enjoyed it mightily. I meant to go on the Thursday as well but didn't make it. I had no luck at all with the horses though when I was there although I made some of it back later in the week betting on the festival races from home! Form...

It was interesting that now his career is over he is highlighting the minor hurling All-Ireland win in 1989, minor football run to the final the same year and the two U-21 Leinster hurling medals as the highlights of his career before mentioning the senior football achievements.

Well done indeed to the minors. That's three tight finishes they've negotiated. Great composure under pressure but I don't know about the inevitability of it. I felt confident also but it nearly went horribly wrong. From where I was standing on the terraces it looked as that last-minute shot had bea...

I'd like to see Tubber go up! Lots of players in the present minor squad or just out of minor! Mac playing senior again.

Keep the faith! Offaly played well yesterday and I'm not sure Offaly would have finished Antrim off as clinically in years when we weren supposedly better. The team is already very much changed in personnel and position from the Kilkenny game. Diggy was much better at half forward than in the last f...

I was at the Clonbullogue - Daingean match which finished 0-7 to 0-6 for Clonbullogue. Daingean needed to win. The draw would have been enough for Clonbullogue. The game was actually quite entertaining despite the low score. Enda Quirke, the Clonbullogue full forward, was instrumental in a number of...
