Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
we win our 2 games and we go in to preliminary all Ireland quarter final against one of the Joe McDonagh teams. A win there would set up us then for an Ireland final on the back of a 3 game winning streak.
Far better I think than a potential heavy ish defeat to galway in Leinster final.
Come ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Even so, I am a little surprised that there's nothing in the betting for the game, with a couple of firms going even money each of two.
Things are looking up yes, but don't forget Offaly have won 1 of their last 16 hurling matches and that came against against a severely psychologically ...

Apparently just shy of 6,000.frankthetank wrote: ↑Sun Apr 19, 2026 2:47 pm Anyone got an official attendance figure for yesterday?
For context the same fixture in Parnell Park in 2025 attracted 5,300.

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
More than happy to have called this completely wrong!!!
Super performance this evening, putting everything from the last 4 months behind them.

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Playing and winning games in 1B will stand to Dublin more than Offaly's 1A adventures this year.
It's 47 weeks since the Offaly senior hurlers won a game.
1 goal in 6 league matches is a massive concern.
There is going to be a huge gap in physicality tomorrow evening which will be a huge factor ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Does anyone know if Jordan Quinn was asked onto the panel this year?
And no I'm not looking to start a 10 page discussion about alternative teams like the football thread
Just a question if anyone knows.

Speaking of poaching lads.......has Sean Hurley (currently the best mid fielder in the county in my opinion)been approached to join the county panel for 2026?
Madness if he hasn't.

Re: Club football 2025
IBit of a nod to a young Shane Dooley too who picked up yet another county medal - must be up to 8 or 9 senior medals now between hurling and football.
Ah Jaysus Jimbob, Dooley can hardly claim a legitimate medal for this can he?
He didn't play a single minute all year for the seniors and I ...

Rigney would be over the Durrow footballers as well I assume SearingSearingDrive wrote: ↑Thu Sep 25, 2025 9:25 pmHow would that work in reality? Durrow are the football team, Ballinamere are the hurling team.private joker wrote: ↑Thu Sep 25, 2025 12:00 pm Simple solution , one manager over both durrow and ballinamere. Two separate mgt teams.

Re: Club football 2025
Lusmagh gave a walkover in the Junior C Football quarter final tonight against Raheen which is disappointing.
There are so few tournaments available to win each year it's a shame when walkovers are given like this.
In their defence I think they just about managed to get 13 bodies on the pitch during ...

Re: All Ireland Football semi finals, and Final.
Hard to look past Donegal.
Tyrone look a bit better balanced than Kerry for me.
Kildare to get the job done in the Tailteann with Limerick likely to be very stubborn opponents.
Going to be frierce hot at the weekend too, be interesting to see might some teams fare better in it.
