Re: Fixtures

Still no fixture updates on the Fixtures and Results section of the official website and we are about 65 hours away from some of the biggest games of the year. Harmless effort from county board.

Re: Standard of Senior club hurling in Offaly

Great topic. I usually see a couple of games down in Carlow during a normal year. What has stood out for me over the last few years is the difference between the ability of Carlow club players to win ball in the air compared to what I see in our club games. High ball being caught all over the pitch ...

Re: Senior A and B Hurling Championships 2020

So the crowds are gone for games so thats that for the year. Another bullshit decision based on no science or facts whatsoever. I want to say fair play to Michael Duignan for what he said on the news this evening. He called it for what it is. I've been a critic of his but thats good leadership he's ...

3 live games from the SFC being streamed this weekend. €5 per game. Great value. Fair play to all involved.
Excellent value, can't argue with that.

BB can I just state the level of thickness were dealing with when it comes to you going by that comment. You can and you just did. shame on them Totally agree. on a side note considering everything that happened this year the change has been positive and it is great the old guard is gone. This isn'...

Re: Byrne v Duignan

It's 8 days away from the start of the local championships and there still appears to be no information out there about how Offaly County Board intend to manage the situation. Attendances are limited to 200 per game. Players, management, officials etc are included as part of the 200 so that leaves a...

Re: Byrne v Duignan

I could be wrong lads but I thought last December that Michael Duignan was elected as chairman of Offaly GAA. You can't open a paper, switch on the TV or radio lately without him commenting on or being interviewed about all things relating to the national GAA scene. I see his auld buddy Donal Og tak...

Re: Senior A and B Hurling Championships 2020

Why do matches have to be on at the same time? Could they not put them on at different times so people could go to all the games. Very good question. I understand why they are not putting on double headers at this time but the games could be spread a bit better. Maybe we are lucky to have any games...

Re: DIV 3 NFL predictions and general chit chat.

May not see niall back playing at all if his club championship injuries are still an issue. Any update on Niall lads? It's a disgrace what happened to him and surprising not more has been made it. Sincerely hope we see him again in Offaly and Rhode colours again if not this year then next year. Was...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2020

Offaly shouldn't release a team to the public in advance, of if they do it should bear no relation to the one that starts. When Antrim last visited Offaly they announced Neil McManus wouldn't make the trip. McManus played the whole game and was his usual influential self, and whatever fine Antrim r...

Re: Kehoe Cup 2019/2020

Couldn't be in two places at once today actually it would have been 3 places!! However, is anyone else concerned by the big scores being conceded? How did Meath put 3-18 up today? Yes the boys are doing the business down the other end but what happens when they don't? The pressure is on to GET the f...

Re: O’Byrne Cup

Another good win today for Offaly - 2-12 to 1-7 over Wexford. I sense that John Maughan has especially targeted the O'Byrne Cup as a means to build the winning habit. In last year's league Offaly lost a number of games they should have won by not closing out very well from strong winning positions....
