Re: Byrne v Duignan

The main argument the 'high powered group' is putting forward is about taking things in "a new direction" with "a different new vision". Good buzzwords in fairness. Whilst the media asked the questions they didn't dig into the responses much understandably so in order to keep things flowing without ...

Re: Byrne v Duignan

We've had newspaper interviews aplenty, radio interviews, lads having meltdowns on Twitter and a whole pile shite talked on this message board over the last 2 months  And how many have actually stopped to ask what is the job description of the Chairman? What are the limitations of the role...

Re: Byrne v Duignan

Joe Troy should delete them tweets and stop embarrassing himself. Its a pathetic attempt to kick start an unnecessary mudslinging contest. He claims he was "cornered" in the press box in OCP and told stop criticising the county board. He's a big chap is Joe so who was it that cornered him and how ma...

Re: Senior A Football 2019

Cian Johnson got player of the year. Given his scoring to wides ratio was ridiculous if must have been the easiest decision ever to give it to him. Fully deserved.

Joe Bergin got player of the year. No complaints with this I'd say.

Re: Offaly Hurling 2020

If it's true that there are Galway men or anybody who isn't from Offaly being dragged onto the panel then it's a total disgrace. Are we saying there isn't 15 men from the county willing to pull on the jersey? This bringing in lads from the outside goes totally against the spirit of the game in my vi...

Re: Intermediate Football 2019

From Dundalk Democrat SHANNONBRIDGE 2-13 ROCHE EMMETS 1-8 Roche Emmets were chinned by repeated sucker punches during their Leinster quarter-final defeat on Saturday afternoon. Having conceded a goal after just two minutes and lost Liam Carthy to a red card on the interval’s eve, Paddy McGuinness’ t...

Re: Byrne v Duignan

Frank, stop trying to deflect from what we originally were discussing. You said that Colm Cummins is a former chairman "of probably the most progressive club in the county". I wish to dispute that use of the term "progressive" in this case. Progressive is defined as "of, relating to, or characterise...

Re: Byrne v Duignan

Colm Cummins is a former chairman of probably the most progressive club in the county, True. In fact they are so progressive they ditched hurling completely. Thats a fair achievement in an area of it's size and given the history of hurling for over 100 years there. Very progressive! This happened o...

Re: Senior B Football 2019

Mattock Rangers 1-13 Bracknagh 1-10. Don't be fooled by the scoreline. Mattock should really have won a lot easier. It was an ugly game and Bracknagh were scrappy throughout with the usual unsurety about where to the the best out of Peter Cunningham. He was in and out from full forward to midfield.....

Re: Meeting In Tullamore

13 years after redevelopment OCP remains the best ground of it's size on the island. It ticks every box.
Keep in mind that one of the main aims of this regressive "High powered" group attempting to take over the county board is to move hurling matches out of this facility. You couldn't make it up.
